Average Ibis - I've stayed in better

Average Ibis Hotel in a nice building. On edge of old town, nearer the Marina than town centre. Staff didn't know the local area at all e.g. they couldn't tell me where the nearest Patisserie or Cafe was (I found both 100 meters away in the same road as the hotel, going out of town). They heavily advertise their post breakfast food and beverage service from 10-12 noon, but they wash out the coffee machine at 10am, and I was told it would be out of service until 11.30!

Pleasant stop over

Stopped here for overnight stay whilst driving to Spain. The lady at reception, maked us very welcome on arrival. Even recommended and booked a table at a nearby restaurant. The breakfast was very nice and plentiful and good value.

We needed somewhere close to the harbour and the hotel was idealy situated. The flexible breakfast time ie 0639 to 0930 enabled us to get started early.

The hotel was convenient to visit the Naval Museum, about 10 minutes from the centre of town. Hotel room was like being on a car ferry small and cramped.
