"Pros: Incredible views (even better than expected) Friendly and helpful staff Good breakfast Cons: Location is quite far from most attractions and restaurants Steep, intimidating driveway (gets easier, but still slow to navigate) Rooms are dated; we also had a few critters in ours A/C didn’t work very well Limited front desk hours (7 AM–9 PM) made early checkout inconvenient Pool was cold and jacuzzis were only warm No towels available at the pool (we found out the hard way) Beds were very firm (though we still slept fine) Overall: Great views and staff, but the remote location and dated facilities made it feel more like a 3-star experience than a standout stay."

"The setting is honestly breathing! Surrounded by lush landscape and incredible views of the volcano, you feel completely immersed in nature. You wake up and immediately appreciate how beautiful and peaceful everything is. That said, the location does come with a bit of a trade-off. It’s quite far from town and most excursions, so getting around requires some planning (and time). If you’re hoping to pop in and out easily, this might not be the most convenient option. The property itself is charming but the rooms are a little dated in terms of decor and overall feel. It didn’t take away from the experience though. The he only real disappointments was the pool, it’s quite small considering how large the property is, and it felt a bit underwhelming given the otherwise expansive setting. Also worth noting: be prepared for a workout! The hotel is built into the landscape, so there’s a lot of uphill walking. It adds to the unique character of the place, but definitely bring good shoes and be ready for some stairs and climbs. Overall, it’s a beautiful, peaceful escape with stunning surroundings—just go in knowing it’s a quiet offset resort from the more touristy area of Fortuna. "

"Loved our honeymoon stay here! Perfect home base for a week of exploring the area. Loved the pool and especially loved the amazing generous and delicious free breakfast every morning! The only issue we had were tiny ants in our room that made a few surfaces unusable, and we had to be very cautious not to prepare food in the room. But we understand that’s normal in the jungle so we weren’t bothered. "
