The Hlid Fisherman's Village was an incredibly peaceful and beautiful place to stay on our first visit to Iceland. It was only 15 minutes from Reykjavik but isolated enough that we felt like we were in our own world for the week. The rooms were lovely with great views of the water and local birds. We also appreciated having access to the hot tubs and sauna on site.

Favorite stay of our week-long trip! Great views, northern lights, very clean, wonderful hot tub and sauna on the rooftop that is shielded from the wind but able to look out over the coast. Loved it all. Would definitely stay here again.

The property was expensive for what you get. We got a room with a private hot tub. The hot tub is outside of room and not private from other rooms. The hotel turned the hot tub off at 10 o’clock even though it was private and the hot tub has a large crack in the tub itself. It also was missing panels near the step. The room main bedroom door would not even shut. it did not enough seating in the room and really not even enough small tables. The outside is neat but cluttered and many things were broken or falling apart
