The room was quaint and in the perfect location. It was exactly what I always pictured Iceland to be. It was simple, and pristine. The shower was amazing and the bed was very comfortable.

This was my second stay at the Fishermans Village after staying last year too. Experience was again great, the parking was easy and it was nice and quiet around the premise. Easy access to the surrounding water with the views being brilliant, particularly at sunrise and sunset! Álftanes is a great place to stay if you have a car and aim to travel around the west of Iceland.

The rooms were very clean and cute. I love that the property has some horses and it’s very scenic overlooking the water. The only thing I didn’t like is that we had trouble locking our room door and there is not much counter space in the bathrooms when getting ready.

Horrifically hot and no airflow. We felt like we were in a sweat lodge. Shower was putrid with the smell of sulphur. No amenities and was a bunk bed. Fan was crazy noisy and people kept trying to come into our room thinking it was the main office. Horrid.

It was a lovely place, quirky and the theme was well done. There are two hot tubs and a small sauna. These are raised with great views of the sky. It was very warm!

The room was very clean… STAFF WERE AWESOME!!! Didn’t expect the snowstorm but the property staff was very accommodating. They gave us dinner when no one would deliver! Knocked on our door to notify us to witness a ones in a lifetime Northern Lights experience! Helped us clean our snow covered Rent a car! Plowed a pathway to get us out … The whole experience was unforgettable! So what really stood out was that the staff and property management made sure that they are there willingly to assist us in any way to make us feel at home away from home!!! Thank you guys!!💚💚💚
