The flagship was Baťa's skyscraper called also Building Nr. 21, which was built in 1937-38. It is perfect Functionalism style building 77 metres tall having 16 floors. The building had its own air condition system, 24 thousand square metres of offices acommodating some 2.800 staff and conference and showrooms on 15th floor.

This is the panorama terrace on the top of the skyscraper again a pure functional architecture.

Most of the new architecture was built before WWII, but some buildings added later actually respected the original vision seamlessly. One of them is the 10-storeyed central shoe storehouse, called Building Nr. 34 built in 1949-55 after the shoe factories were nationalized. With roughly 45 thousand square meters of space it is a real collossus. Ground floor was used for train transport, second for trucks. There was an oval rail on each storey and vertical movement was handled by elevators. On each side of the building there were outside fire escape stairs. As most of the buildings in Baťa's Zlín it had an steel and concrete sceleton made of 6x6 meters modules and raw bricks facade.
