Initial communication was poor, we were panicked that our stay was not correctly booked. Code finally came to inbox after calling VRBO hotline. Back porch lights not on at arrival and some lights inside were missing or out. Key panel was slow to accept code but worked finally when I learned trick to hold handle and pull during lock and unlock. Refrigerator was not working when we checked in and we did not feel safe purchasing groceries and perishables. This led host to issue a credit which was appreciated. It did not really finally make up for all the small issues, and I’d note that some people may not have found these issues as frustrating as we did. The upstairs shower did not have a correct length shower curtain so I opted to use the other which worked better. The soap dispensers and shampoo dispensers were all jammed which leads me to think previous guests took siphon tube out and dispensed soap this way (less than sanitary). There was no trash can in the downstairs bathroom. There was a load of wet laundry which we discovered on our last day, and it seems the dryer was clogged or not properly vented (also a safety hazard). In the end, the house is large and relatively comfortable and well located. It was more quiet than I expected and felt very safe. Many details have been missed or felt very lacking. The kitchen and cabinets (dishwasher) are poorly assembled and there was only one dish towel which had to do triple duty as a drying rack, hot pad, etc.
