We had a wonderful stay at Bahia Principe Bounganville Resort! The hotel amenities are a bit dated, but honestly, what makes this place shine is the incredible staff who go above and beyond to make your vacation memorable. A special shout-out to Isabel Corty, our waitress at the Tamarindo Lobby Bar—she was always attentive and kind. Also, thank you to Yajaira, Patricia, Mario, Ruben, and Diego for your amazing service and smiles every day. At the spa Cindy ( Front Desk), Mayelin & Yomairy ( the masseuses) LOVE YOU GIRLS! Best massage ever. Highly recommend booking with them and tell them Scarlet & Carlos sent you! At the Jazmín restaurant, Kiuri & Suleyni, thank you so much for everything. I especially miss my morning glass of champagne! And wow—Argenis, ( The MVP) you were incredible with helping us with our luggage and making us feel so welcome. Also, thanks to Adolfo. Also, a huge shout-out to the animation crew at the lobby, especially María, who made sure everyone got involved, danced, and had a great time! The resort is quite nice with a good mix of fun and quite. There’s a quite pool area and an activity one with performances and games. The dining options are great. The buffet is decent but make sure you reserve a restaurant spot. There are several restaurants that require reservations so do yourself a favor and do so. The BEACH is awesome the water is calm, warm and inviting. To end your evening you could enjoy the live entertainment or go to the nightclub in n site which was great. It really is a great place to relax, enjoy and unwind!

The hotel experience overall was great. Spacious room overlooking the pool with mini bar included and room service 24hrs. Main pool is where you will see and participate in the activities. Beach is amazing, on of the best. Do the spa massage by the beach, you wont regret it. Food was good at the buffet and the hotel staff is friendly.

****Beware of horrible beach/ bad bugs/ mold**** Beach was horrible, was eaten alive by mosquitoes. You would think a 5 star resort would spray nightly, they advised they don’t spray at all. Staff very rude, if you don’t book at least 4 months in advance- good luck eating at a main restaurant during weekends. Due to booking 2 days prior to departure, We were stuck eating nasty buffet every meal over Labor Day .Our bed was literally falling apart and room smelled like mold (55005). Do not come here unless you enjoy bugs, mold, and the same nasty food every night. Staff could have been more accommodating, as many other guests stated half the restaurants were only half full. Honestly one of the worst all inclusive resorts I have stayed, would never recommend to anyone. Drinks watered down, and resort needs some serious updating.

I recently stayed at Bahia Principe Bouganville with high hopes for a relaxing beachside escape, but unfortunately, several aspects fell short of expectations. Beach & Water Quality The beach area felt quite limited in size, and while the setting was lush, the water itself was unexpectedly dense and brown in color—not the turquoise clarity one might expect from Caribbean shores. It lacked the inviting vibrancy typical of nearby beaches, which made swimming and lounging less enjoyable than anticipated. Dining Experience One of the most frustrating parts of the stay was the restaurant booking system. Despite multiple attempts, reservations were nearly impossible to secure. Most restaurants were fully booked throughout the trip, leaving few options beyond the buffet, which—while decent—didn’t offer the variety or ambiance we were hoping for. Overall Atmosphere The resort grounds are well-maintained and the staff were generally courteous, but the limitations in beach access and dining.

This is a wonderful all-inclusive resort with a lovely large beach and 2 large pools. Each pool had a swim up bar which was very nice. Staff was particularly friendly and attentive.

The resort was fantastic! It was the perfect weekend getaway! the one caveat being that the water gets murky when a storm was in the area but I've swam in the Schuykilk River so I'm the snob

Loved staying at Bahia luxury Bouganville . It was really nice hotel, with great food . Dining options are plenty . Beach is amazing , water is murky unfortunately from sand being darker -yellowish . Sea is calm ,great temp and clean to swim . No sargassum at this location . Staff is friendly and helpful . The best part is so relaxing and quiet . Just a paradise !

This property is lovely, clean and relaxing. The staff is very eager to please. The foam pool party was fun and they had a white beach party with dancing and a fire show. Other than that, however, the entertainment was sparse and dull. If you want to relax in luxury with lovely surroundings, good food and amazing weather, this is your destination.
