Dear Travelocity Support Team,
I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a serious incident that occurred during our recent stay in the Dominican Republic, which we booked through Travelocity.

Date of Incident: November 25–26, 2025
On the second day of our stay, a strong rotten egg / sulfur odor suddenly filled our hotel room. The smell became so severe that the room was completely uninhabitable, forcing us to leave in the middle of the night. We experienced physical discomfort and were concerned about potential health risks, which led us to seek medical attention.
We reported the issue to the front desk four separate times, but our concerns were not addressed with the necessary urgency. It was not until around 3:00 AM that a maintenance worker, Izrael, came to investigate. He confirmed the odor was real and immediately assisted us in relocating to another room. While we appreciated his help, the hotel’s overall response was unacceptable given the seriousness of the situation.
As a result of this incident, we experienced:
• A lost night of our vacation
• Physical discomfort and medical expenses
• Significant inconvenience and emotional distress
We are requesting appropriate compensation for the lost night and for the medical visit caused by the unsafe room conditions. We trust that Travelocity will assist us in resolving this matter .
