"We stayed in Malcesine for four nights and paid extra for a lake-view room, which was absolutely worth it. Sitting on the balcony in the morning or in the evening with a drink, taking in the beautiful lake and surrounding mountains, was one of the highlights of our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. It wasn't particularly spacious, but it had everything we needed, including plenty of storage and complimentary shampoo and shower gel. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We had one small issue with our room key, but it was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Breakfast offered a good selection, with freshly cooked eggs and bacon made to order each morning, alongside fresh fruit, cereals and pastries. Everything we tried was very good. We didn't have dinner at the hotel as the restaurant offered a fixed four-course menu (€38 per person), which was a little more formal than we were looking for. Instead, we enjoyed exploring the town, with Bar Oasis, just a short walk away, becoming a favourite for excellent €7 cocktails. The hotel's facilities were also very good. Although we didn't have time to use everything, the pool, hot tub and gym all looked well maintained and were popular with other guests. There was ample parking, which was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. Overall, we'd happily stay here again and would definitely recommend paying extra for a lake-view room."
