The Villa do Sol is located at 80 meters above sea level surrounded picturesquely on a steep slope by the gorgeous green of the island. On a 400 sqm plot, the villa is surrounded by an exotic garden with banana trees and citrus. Not for nothing Madeira is called the island of eternal spring.
The villa offers 120 m² living space all amenities for a perfect holiday. To get out of the garage by a staircase in the open living room. On the ground floor the spacious fully fitted kitchen with hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and coffee maker. The adjoining modern living room has a TV, free WiFi connection, offering breathtaking views of the sea. Through a sliding window you reach the terrace with the 7,5x4,0 m pool. In addition, there are around the villa further 3 terraces and 2 balconies, so you can enjoy all the sunny hours of the day.
Your bedroom is spacious and equipped with a double bed (size 180 x 210) and generous closets. En Suite You will find the bathroom with toilet, shower and bathtub.
If you arrive by three to six people, there is also on the first floor of the villa. Here are two more bedrooms with double beds 1x2m and generous fitted wardrobes and an en suite balcony with magnificent sea view. On the upper floor there is also another bathroom with toilet and shower.

This villa is a beautiful, peaceful spot with breathtaking views of a busy Madeira Island. We did a lot of sightseeing of the island, but to come back here to relax and enjoy a magnificent sunset was such a pleasure. I spent a full day at the villa, only leaving for dinner at a restaurant, and it was lovely. Everything you need is here. The place is well stocked and oh, so pretty.

A nice villa, with a stunning view! slight leak on the toilet after we arrived - but the plumber arrived the same day and resolved the issue (there were two other toilets though!) Very attentive and a great place - will probably stop there again next Christmas too!! Thanks for an enjoyable experience.

Me and my friend had a week at this beautiful home! It’s a great house with a private garden. It has everything to make it a perfect home for a holiday. If it wasn’t for a dirty pool (must mention that we had a storm two of the days) and that the cleaners start knocking on the windows 20 minutes before the check out time - it was a perfect stay.

Stunning Ponta do Sol Villa

The house is beautiful. The pool area is an amazing place to take in the views, sunsets and relax. The directions and accompanying literature provided by the host are very informative and answered all of our questions about using the house amenities. Highly recommend taking advantage of the bakery delivery truck that drives past every morning at ~9:15. There is a nespresso machine and drip/filter coffee maker for caffeine needs. If we’re ever back in Madeira, we will hope to stay here again. Highly recommend!

Amazing!

We had such a wonderful time at Ponta do Sol and highly recommend this rental! The villa is very well maintained, equipped with everything you could possibly wish for, clean and very spacious. And we simpy could not get enough of this view! We loved the bakery van every morning and the short walk (+ elevator) to the center of Ponto do Sol where you can find a supermarket and several really nice restaurants. To say Madeira is beautiful is an understatement. It is just breathtaking in so many ways. I am 100% sure we will come back and I would also love come back to this beautiful property. Thank you for having us!

Beautiful House with Great Potential but Maintenance Issues Need Attention

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house, which is in a fantastic location. However, several maintenance issues affected our experience and prevent us from giving a perfect score. Mattress Condition: The downstairs mattresses have numerous tiny spots, which raised concerns about potential bed bugs. We strongly recommend involving pest control professionals to inspect and address this issue thoroughly. Shower Drainage: The downstairs shower has a drainage problem, causing the floor to remain wet and leading to significant mould in the cubicle. Providing a floor squeegee and enhancing cleaning routines could help as a temporary fix, but a long-term solution is needed. Linens and Towels: The towels and kitchen linens had an unpleasant smell when we arrived. We had to wash them before use, which was inconvenient. Ensuring freshly laundered linens for guests would be an easy improvement. Ongoing Issues: Some issues noted in past reviews, such as the leaking toilet, still haven’t been addressed. Additionally, the swimming pool had noticeable debris at the bottom, which gave the impression of irregular maintenance. Overall, these concerns suggest a lack of regular upkeep, which is unfortunate because this house has incredible potential. Addressing these maintenance issues would significantly enhance the guest experience and help the property live up to its full charm.

Villa Ponta do Sol- Ankommen, wohlfühlen und der Urlaub beginnt! Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Rund um das Grundstück beeindruckende Flora und Fauna. Ich denke die grandiose Aussicht mùssen wir nicht nochmal erwähnen.Durchaus luxuriöse Ausstattung des Hauses, super bequeme Wohnzimmereinrichtung mit Liebe zum Detail, klasse Küchenausstattung mit tollem Toaster, Kontaktgrill, Nespressomaschine (Kapseln kann man in jedem Supermarkt kaufen). Geschirr gut sortiert und nicht zusammengewürfelt. Es sind viele nützliche Helfer vorhanden ( Frischhaltefolie, Backpapier etc.) und wenn dann doch etwas fehlt, ersetzt man dieses gerne.Waschmaschine mit Waschpulver und Trockner stehen in einem separaten Raum zur Verfügung.Gilberto war zu jederzeit erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit.Wir können das Ferienhaus und natürlich die Insel Madeira uneingeschränkt empfehlen und freuen uns auf den nächsten Aufenthalt in Ponta do Sol.

Die Rundumsicht ist hervorragend. Ums Haus ist alles grün mit Sträuchern und Bäumen. Im Haus funktionierten alle Geräte. Ein paar Kleinigkeiten müssten noch gemacht werden wie Badezimmerfenster, Sonnenschirmhalter und die hintere Terrasse wo immer noch der Baumschnitt herumliegt.

We hadden een heerlijk verblijf in deze mooie villa. Maar ben het met andere beoordelingen eens het kan schoner. Handdoeken waren niet schoon. Vlekken. Deuren vol vlekken. Glazen niet schoon. Droger was erg vies. Ik begrijp dat dit van vorige gasten kan komen. Maar er moet wel gecontroleerd worden. Verder is er achterstallig onderhoud. De rolluiken konden niet naar beneden aan slaapkamer kant. Maar het blijft een prachtige plek om te verblijven.teverblijven. Heel veel informatie over Madeira te lezen.

Traumhaus mit leichten Macken

Die Lage des Hauses ist absolut traumhaft. Wunderschöner Pool und toller Ausblick auf das Meer. Die Küche ist sehr groß und gut ausgestattet, ebenfalls das Wohnzimmer. Eigentlich ein Traum und bis dahin absolut 10 Punkte wert. Allerdings gibt es da auch einige Mängel, die die Punktzahl nach unten drücken. Wir hatten das Gefühl, dass das Management gewechselt hat. Zumindest konnten wir Rose weder vor noch während unseres Urlaubs erreichen. Der Vermieter gab uns kurz vor Urlaubsantritt Kontaktdaten einer anderen Person. In der zweiten Nacht wurden wir von einem lauten Geräusch geweckt, man hatte das Gefühl mitten in einem Tornado zu sein. Dieses Geräusch kam aus dem einzig verschlossenen Zimmer in den Haus. Wir haben Gilberto so verstanden, dass die Geräusche mit der Wasserversorgung in Zusammenhang stehen. Die Terrasse zu den Bergen hin ist nicht benutzbar. Es handelt sich eher um einen Trümmerhaufen. Die Spülung des Gäste WC lief nach wie vor leicht, aber durchgängig. Auch roch es, wenn man nicht öfters die Fenster/Türen regelmäßig geöffnet hat, muffig. Einige (Schiebe)Türen ließen sich gar nicht öffnen, eine schloss nicht mehr. Dies hinterlies ein mulmiges Gefühl. Man kann natürlich, wie einige Personen das getan haben, über diese Mängel hinwegsehen und 10 Punkte vergeben, wir fanden allerdings, dass diese nicht gerechtfertigt wäre, zumal auch wir noch einige Augen zugemacht haben. Wenn die Mängel behoben werden, dann wäre das Prädikat "Premium" wieder berechtigt.

Schönes Haus mit toller Aussicht

Ohne Frage war das Haus sehr schön. Sehr gute Ausstattung. Der Ausblick aufs Meer toll. Leider gab es einige Dinge zu bemängeln. Wir kamen am Haus an und fanden nicht wie vereinbart den Hausschlüssel. Leider hat es dann ca. 3 Stunden gedauert, bis der Verwalter endlich kam. Das Haus war noch nicht gereinigt. Der Sonnenschirm war immer noch nicht vorhanden. Es wurde uns seitens des Verwalters zugesagt, dass er uns einen besorgt. Der kam dann an unserem Abreisetag (nach 18 Tagen). Die Lounge war nicht zu benutzen, ungepflegt, dreckig. Das Wasser in der Toilette lief ständig. Einige Fenster waren defekt. Fliegengitter an den Fenstern wären auch super. Auch war unserer Meinung nach etwas an der Pumpe am Pool defekt. Die Gartendusche ging nicht. Nichts desto trotz sind dies Mängel, die gut zu beheben sind.

Traumhaftes Haus in schöner Lage

Es ist ein sehr schönes Haus in toller Lage. Die Küche ist gross und hervorragend ausgestattet. Auf Anfrage vor der Buchung durften wir das obere Schlafzimmer benutzen. Dies zeichnet sich durch einen wunderschönen Blick auf das Meer aus. Wir haben uns in den zwei Wochen dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Leider müssen auch Mängel angesprochen werden: In der Gästetoilette lief dauerhaft ganz leicht die Spülung. Dort war auch der Fenstergriff an der Verschalung gebrochen. Der Profi-Sonnenschirm war faktisch nicht vorhanden. Der Schirm ist vom Gestell aus uns unbekannten Gründen abgeschnitten worden. Wir haben uns mit einem kleinen Sonnenschirm aus der Garage beholfen. Die Liege im ersten Stock auf dem Balkon des Schlafzimmers ist aufgrund des Alters so porös geworden, dass die seitliche Lehne abgebrochen ist, als ich mich rauflegen wollte.
