We're really pleased with our 2 night stay at Enotel. We had a sea view room with a balcony and we highly recommend it. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evenings taking in the sunset and the sound of the rolling waves. One night the sunset was a spectacular display of orange, pink, and blue! The room itself was clean and spacious. We found the beds and pillows to be very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the water pressure in the shower was great. Check-in and check-out were easy and the underground parking is extremely helpful as the beach-front street is paid parking and fills up quickly. The parking garage is tight but manageable, especially with a smaller car. One evening we made use of the pool, sauna, and imam. It was great to have these on site to relax following an afternoon of hiking. In sum, we'd definitely stay here again!

The hotel had an amazing location right on the beach. It is walking distance to small restaurants and shops in the town of Porto do Sol. Staff and manager were very helpful with any guest needs and providing travel information for the island. It is quiet but best to stay on lower floors between the restaurant and the garage. The parking garage was convenient but only way to gaurantee a space is to arrive before 6 pm. If arrive later than 6 pm guest may have to find a space on the street. The breakfast had a good variety but the dinner did not. Dinner was too costly (30 euros) if not included in reservation for limited selection.

The staff were nice. The breakfast was included and had a variety of fresh food daily. Especially appreciated the drying line in the shower so bathing suits could be hung up to dry. The only downside was the parking situation: a very small underground garage that didn't say it was full (first come, first served), and street parking was next to impossible to find, unless you parked before 6 pm or after 9:30 pm, as many people come to see the sunset (which IS beautiful). No street or underground parking reserved for guests at the hotel. Except for the parking difficulties, a very nice and relaxing stay.

We loved staying at Enotel Sunset Bay. Ponta do Sol is a fantastic location on Madeira. The hotel is right in front of the ocean and beach and all rooms have ocean views.We stayed on the 4th floor in the seaview rooms with balcony. The rooms are very spacious, clean and well-equiped. The 4th floor is where the roof top deck is located. It was a great place to soak in some sunshine and relax after a day of hiking. The indoor pool was also a bonus. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with lots of great choices. There is free underground parking, but it is somewhat difficult to get into and can get full. Overall, this is an excellent hotel and I highly recommend.
