We are not available in person but are here to answer any questions via the booking channel.

Nestled on the New York and the Pennsylvania border, Barryville is just a two hour drive from New York City in the Delaware Water Gap area. Though it’s a small town, Barryville offers all the ingredients for a memorable weekend.

Guest have access to the entire house, all of the amenities and surrounding nature.

The Cabin:
Approximately 1,000 square feet of curated charm, this cozy retreat offers refined living at its best, with thoughtfully selected décor and inviting spaces throughout.

First Floor:
A spacious open-concept layout welcomes you, combining a kitchen, dining area, living room, and half bath. The modern rustic design, adorned with earthy tones and captivating art, books, and décor, creates a warm, stylish ambiance.

Upstairs:
Three bedrooms and a full bathroom continue the seamless blend of modern and rustic aesthetics. Hardwood floors stretch across the upper level, softened by plush rugs in each bedroom.

The Primary Bedroom: The largest space features a queen bed, seating area, 48" smart TV, and a stunning private deck with lounge chairs and a propane fire pit, perfect for stargazing.
The Pink Room: Small yet delightful, it includes a queen bed (with one side a bit snug), a floating work desk, 32" smart TV, and a charming window bench for daydreaming or reading.

The Green Room: With a loft-style full bed (cozy but compact for couples), a 32" smart TV in the bed area, a work desk, and a petite deck with seating, it’s a playful and intimate space.

The Writer's Shed: This enchanting hideaway is a nature lover’s dream. A picture window reveals a mesmerizing mossy forest, perfect for sparking creativity or simply unwinding. The shed includes WiFi extenders for connectivity, two twin beds (linen provided for 8-person reservations), and a standalone heat/AC unit, ensuring comfort in any season.

The best and only way to travel around upstate NY is by car. The beauty of the area allows for scenic drives no matter your destination. In the winter, 4 wheel drive is always best but not necessarily needed.

Please note that the 4th bedroom is a separate shed off to the side of the cabin. There is a stand alone heating/AC unit in the space.

The outdoor shower is available seasonally. Please ask us if it will be available during your stay.

You may see animals like deer and fox pass through from time to time.

The Hot tub is available year round.

Clean linens are provided for each guest and beds are made like in the pictures but we do not provide flat sheets.

We do not guarantee that there is cooking oil, pam, butter, aluminum foil or baking sheets.

Perfect getaway

If you're looking for a quiet getaway in the mountains with a spectacular view, this is it. Our family of five plus our dog stayed here for a week in late April and we had a fabulous time bonding. We made use of the fire pit, the deck overlooking the river, the hot tub, and I used the writer's shed to write and do a little work. It was a very peaceful setting. If you enjoy absolute isolation and simply taking it slow to enjoy time with family or just as a personal getaway, we highly recommend staying at this cottage. Maxwell was an amazing host, always at the ready when we had a question, though we didn't really need to ask for anything. We had some questions regarding hiking in the woods. The virtual guidebook provided is very helpful. Things to note, though nothing that would drop our rating, because everything is so remote (compared to living in the suburbs or city) be prepared to travel at least 30 minutes to get to any major stores. There are some local markets in the area, and some restaurants, but you may need to venture 15-30 minutes to find places. If you're the outdoorsy type, there are lots of parks/trails near by, plus in the summer time there's a lot of activity on the river. All in all, a great experience. We'd definitely visit again.

Charming Scenic Views

The house was just as cozy and quaint as we had hoped. The deck overlooking the river is beautiful and there's plenty of backyard space for campfires and yard games. We used it as our home base before and after our river float trip along the Del Water Gap and would do so again.
