We felt like we had to be careful with all we did while staying there. Lots of notes around the house, from about not wearing your shoes while in the house (even though there was only a small rug at the front door to take your shoes off) Hard to remove shoes when there is nowhere to stand and it's snow outside. To making sure everything was cut off before we left. Notes everywhere! 55 degrees in the house when we arrived, took hours, not minutes for it to warm up as it had just snowed the night before and was extremely cold outside. Therefore, the floors were very cold when walking on them, wish I had brought slippers to wear. Upstairs bathroom had mold on the shower curtain and the stand that held the shampoo. Toilet seat was very worn and gross. Firewood was left, but not seasoned and would not light as there was not a fire starter to add to the wood to make it light(the paper in the bin wasn't cutting it. Was really looking forward to a cozy fire, that didn't happen. Couldn't use the hot tub, only 2 of us older people and we were told the lid was very heavy in the directions, since there was snow was on top to add to the weight, we knew we wouldn't be able to get the lid off if we tried. Was disappointed that an automatic charge of 50 was added for the hot tub that we couldn't even use. Light bulbs missing on several of the light fixtures. All in all was not up to standards of other VRBO houses we have stayed in the past. So Disappointed.
