Very nice property, close to the beach. The “Main Street “ side wall runs right in front of the house and connects you to the downtown action. 5 minute walk to Placencia Beach Club and about 1 mile walk to the tip of the peninsula. Great place to stay.

Little Piece of Heaven

What a great vacation rental, exactly as described , well equipped for a few days or a month rental. Proximity to the beach, supermarket/liquor store and Placencia beach club make this a fantastic find. The pictures don’t do it justice……. The hammocks, floaties, beach towels make this a great base in Placencia Village. Mae was very communicative and provided a detailed and accurate orientation package , with easy checkin and great directions , with numerous recommendations for local eats . Admittedly we had a small issue with the AC unit , which seemed to be due to the utility power company , and out of the owner’s control , and the ceiling fans helped keep the unit cool. We would definitely stay here again, and looking at dates to return in 2025. Placencia village is a great destination with numerous shops, bars, restaurants all within an easy walk of the unit , no need for car or golf cart.

Best Placencia Option for Couple

The studio was well designed, well equipped, well maintained, and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook throughout our entire 5 week stay. The availability of well functioning washer and dryer was so helpful. The place is extremely convenient to the beach and all the stores and restaurants in the village. The hosts were kind and caring while respectful of our privacy. We couldnt have asked for a nicer experience.

This place is a gem. It is new, modern construction, with clean manicured grounds, built right up against the famous sidewalk. Very clean, with all the kitchen amenities you would need. Access to the beach club which is a very short walk to the north. Most operators, cab etc.. know where it is by the name "Alaska Reprieve". I would recommend screenshotting the host's well documented key instructions for the front door, because although the lock is relatively easy to use, it is not necessarily intuitive. There is nothing negative to say - you can't go wrong. I would definitely stay there again.

An Alaska Reprieve in Placencia!!!

Have you ever stayed at a property where you were disappointed when you got there? Not the case here. The pictures do not do the property justice. This is not a rental its a home. Very thoughtfully appointed. The location is fantastic. The Beach Club membership is priceless!!!

Perfect.

Everything has been thought of. Perfect instructions, great suggestions and the addition to be so close to great bars and restaurants and the Placencia beach club pool and restaurant makes this a great choice. If you want something different from a resort feel then this would be for you.

The perfect relaxing getaway

We spent 9 perfectly relaxing and wonderful days here. We loved Placencia. So many delicious places to eat just down the sidewalk. A fully stocked kitchen for cooking in, too. The condo is steps from the beach and the lunch and drinks at the Beach Club were amazing. We will be back!

Great Property

We enjoyed everything about our stay! The location is excellent and easy walking distance to the beach, the beach club, the supermarket, and the village. The path is the cutest thing you've ever seen. The house itself was perfect- comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen, good wifi, and the covered porch is great! We really appreciated the extra touches like laundry, the outdoor shower, and the bikes. The host was extremely helpful and responsive!

Fantastic Spring Break

The Alaska Reprieve was perfect for our spring break vacation in Placencia! Mae was so easy to work with, quick to respond and provided a lot of helpful information. We loved the location of the Alaska Reprieve - right on the sidewalk in the village (this is important), a short walk to beach, restaurants/bars, the grocery store and the Placencia Beach Club. The AC was a nice perk and the laundry facilities allowed us to pack light and not check our baggage. Although we chose to eat out for most of our meals, the kitchen is well stocked for meal prep. We enjoyed our morning coffee and afternoon drinks on the porch each day. We would love to stay here again!

Our desert reprieve

I can't say enough positive words about our stay in Placencia and at the Alaska Reprieve. We live in the desert so this was the complete opposite of normal. The flat is clean, beautiful, quiet and comfortable. The beach is a minute walk and the landscaping and views are beautiful. The host is easily accessible and accommodating. We had the most amazing time and hope to make it back some day soon! Thank you Mae!

Wonderful apartment steps from the beach

We had such a comfortable and enjoyable stay at Alaska Reprieve. Kay had made everything so clean and welcoming when we arrived. This place has everything you could need for a visit to Placecia. The beach was peaceful and beautiful. The kayaks, washer/dryer, good quality applicances and tools made it easy to cook and make blended drinks as well as coffee. The grounds are well kept and all the neighboring yards are too. Close to the store, a nice walk into town on boardwalk(here we got to see local vendors and options for food). The beach will also take you to the end of the peninsula where there is a nice swimming area where locals go which is the river end of town. We would definitely suggest staying here and hope to ne back.

Great place!

I never leave reviews, but feel impelled to do so after staying at the Alaska Reprieve. This place is fabulous. Super duper clean, great location, awesome porch to sit out and listen to the ocean (and watch Spiky the dog next door walk himself), and 2 bikes to get around town. The ocean is literally right there, and the use of the Placencia Pool is a plus. Couldn't think of anything to make it more enjoyable. Thank you for such a wonderful place to stay. Mae and Phil have thought of everything!!
