Berkshire Mountain Lodge exceeded our expectations. It is quiet and pretty. I loved the shades of gold and dark red color scheme. Everything was basically new and very clean. The spacious kitchen and living room buffer the bedroom from any noise in the hallway. The bed was very comfortable for our aging backs. The kitchen is very well-stocked with anything you might want for either plating take-out meals or cooking yourself. My only complaint was that our handicap-accessible bathroom, which I was assured on the phone had a roll-in shower, had a tub/shower combo, which is not fully accessible. Manager Andrew was very apologetic but they no more appropriate room that night, He did call the next morning with an offer to move us, but by that time we were settled in and decided to make do.

Berkshire Mountain Lodge exceeded our expectations. Furnishings looked to be almost new. I liked the decor scheme: warm shades of gold with dark red. The bed was very comfortable for our aging backs. Even though our unit was near the elevator, the spacious kitchen and living area buffered the bedroom from any noise in the hallway. The kitchen was very well furnished whether you want to plate take-out or cook yourself. They provide print-outs of restaurant listings, plus Guido's fantastic deli and store is right around the corner. Generous sized rooms that were clean and reasonably equipped. decor was a bit dated but well maintained. The hot tub and pool were quite nice and the location was fairly central to activities in the Berkshires via car. Staff were friendly and check in a breeze.

The property was fantastic. My room was great the first two nights, but the next five were a disaster. A couple and a child were place next to my room. The child screamed and cried all day and night long. We were woken up at 5:30 am to the wailing. It went on and on, everyday, all day. I was going to say something to the front desk, but was hoping by Sunday they were checking out. No such luck. Everyday takeout boxes and garbage was left outside their room (yes I get that was where it was supposed to be, but I had to walk around it with their cases of empty beer cans. My last night was the deal breaker. I was working on my computer on the couch and something hit the wall really hard. I thought something was coming through the wall. The couple began screaming and fighting and swearing, so loud, I actually got scared for the woman and went to the front desk. They offered to move my room. What??? I was the one to be moved? All my stuff after 6 days and I was asked to move my room? As I was walking back the woman was leaving the hotel. My room was quiet again for about an hour. They came back and he was still screaming profanities at her. I called the front desk again and they sent someone up. I didn’t hear anything for the rest of the night, but I was also uncomfortable sleeping next door to that. I checked out the next morning at 7am. I was exhausted and couldn’t wait to leave. Sadly, I was hoping for a stay like the first two days I had there, but that didn’t happen.
