I will tell everyone about the Thompson! Everybody on the staff was exceptional! I have never stayed somewhere and felt so welcome. Everyone was kind and said hi when we passed them, asking us how we were. The best part is when we’re walked to our room and told about all the amenities. I’ve stayed a lot of places and I don’t remember the bellman ever having the time to be so welcoming. The property is beautiful. We will be back for sure.

the hotel pool area was not properly staffed, did not get the hospitality that I was expecting at a boutique hotel. memorial day- main pool was a mess when we got there early to grab lounge chairs. the day before it was so packed it was hard to get any pool chairs so we had to sit in the hot sun in the lounge chairs. they eventually brought us an umbrella. the 21+ area was nice as there are no kids allowed and service was better there. definitely disappointed as we have been wanting to stay here not sure we will be back.

So in general this is brand new hotel. The room absolutely no questions beautiful, Clean, the bedding is very comfortable. Yet the pillows maybe a little soft, that in the morning it was all flat and seems no too many support on the shoulder. But anyway the shower is beautiful the bath product is wonderful that I purchased a body location. The staff are generally friendly but I did not use too many service. We got a free upgrade. One big cons, the noise from the street from the hallway is not very good. Through the night hear a lot of noise. The water comes out creamy color I guess generally CA water condition is like that? The pool is smaller than I expected. But appreciate the dog friendly. But not like Kimpton, no too many cute extra dog service makes the stay cozy and extra welcome for the pets

Hotel was in a great location. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is related to: pool (played loud music throughout the day - when I'm at the pool I want tor relax, not listen to dance music), housekeeping either didn't finish cleaning our room or left cleaning supplies behind, didn't explain to us what our resort fee covered (at check in). On the positive side, the valet parking team were great, friendly and helpful. Had breakfast in the restaurant - was ok. Coffee was not very good.
