The king suit was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. Temperature of the salt water pool and spa were excellent. The pool tiles need to be cleaned.

I found the hotel listing and confirmed a reservation roughly an hour before check-in time which was at 4:00 pm. We arrived at 4:15pm and found a kind woman who informed us that we didn't have a reservation because it wasn't in the system. After locating our reservation in a different system, she sent the check in process to my phone via text, where I was prompted to use what was effectively a self check-in system. In that system, I then had to return to my truck to get the license plate number for the paid parking. When I voiced my frustration with the system, I was kindly met with "everyone else had this done at 9am". We got to the room which was still being cleaned for another half hour. For our wait, we were given a couple complimentary glasses of wine. We entered the room and found an odd space that was missing towel racks, hand soap, a second kurig coffee pod, and the ability to close the blinds fully. We went to the pool and grabbed a drink from the bar, and instantly noted a comedy of errors. There's so much potential with this hotel, so it's tough to see this covid era system in place that genuinely doesn't need to exist.

The Cole was a hidden gem on our recent Palm Springs trip. We chose it because it was far more affordable than staying in the downtown area, but it still had that downtown boutique charm. It was clean, quiet, the pool area was nice, and we great customer service from Damien the manager whenever we needed anything. The drive to the downtown area was just minutes. I'm very glad we chose to stay at The Cole!

It does not clearly mention that this hotel is lobby-less, means everything is online and you receive the entrance code by text message. But just in case, if you have an international phone on you, you will probably not able to get the message which includes your key number to access to your room. There is no security at any time and at night you are on your own. Its is not hard to access the hotel area, if something happens, someone follows you. Like I said you are on your own. Hotel is generally low maintenance, they did something good in the beginning and than left it to by itself. Walls are extremely thin, I woke up to next doors shower sound at 7 a.m. Sunday morning, you hear every single detail. That is why they leave you a soft earplug, actually two... so you can have a nice sleep. Which is unfortunate that the time I woke up to next doors shower sound, I already had my earplugs on...

Not the best for a business traveler

Stayed for a business trip to Palm Springs. It's a cute motel conversion, with clean, spacious rooms, comfy beds, and a great shower. Unfortunately, the experience of staying was let down by the hotel's system for managing guests on site and the check-in/out process. There is no one at reception between 8 PM and 8 AM, which is pretty ridiculous, and if you are like me and trying to check in or out in this window, you have to do everything online. That wouldn't be a problem, but I had booked several rooms for colleagues, so I ended up having to call the hotel to get everyone sent check-in links, then had to do the online check-in and while it only took 10-15 minutes to deal with, I was in Palm Springs on a really challenging work project, and taking that time out of my day just added to my stress. Since I had to leave the hotel before 8 AM, I needed to do online checkout, and the link they sent didn't work, so I had to text with the hotel about it, again taking time out of my busy day. I also asked for a receipt, which never came. Hotel charges $15 for parking, which is essentially a cramped, exposed space along the street-- pretty insulting to have to pay for that on top of the room charge, as my car may as well have been parked on the street. I also wonder what would have happened if I ran into an issue trying to get into my room with the code provided, with no one on site to support. I stay at a hotel for convenience for business, and The Cole did not deliver.
