When I made the reservation, I requested an accessible room. The desk attendant told me that there were only two accessible rooms in the hotel, and both were occupied. I asked for a room close to an entry door. When I got to the room, we found that this room was an accessible room. In the room, the shutters would not stay open. The sliding glass door to the patio was sealed shut and could not be opened. The TV remote is a challenge to operate. There is no handicap parking close to the hotel guest rooms. There are about 6 handicap spaces located at the furthest northwest parking lot completely away from the guestrooms. Not conducive for guests with special needs. The bathroom doors squeak so loud that it wakes everyone up. Last but not least, they surprise you with a $25.00 per night parking fee for inadequate parking.

The price was good. The hotel is very old in my room. It also had a bad odor in the room. Paint dropping all over the floor. Sliding door was stuck all the time with lots of old Paint.

A little gem

Everything was wonderful about the hotel, except for the bed and the pillow was super uncomfortable. I love the overall theme of the hotel and how they kept the Lucille family a part of history.

The pool area was lovely and enjoyable. It took us 3 tries to get a room that was clean and functioning. The first room had visible mold/mildew. The 3rd room was fine, except the stains on the carpet were awful, and even one was sticky. Not pleasant. Some of the staff were helpful and friendly, and the rest seemed disgruntled as if they didn't want to be there.

The bed was old and very uncomfortable. When I checked out, I was charged an additional $25 a day for self-parking my car. I had prepaid for the hotel and was told all taxes and fees were included and there would be no additional charges.

I’ve stayed at Indian Wells for eight years and always loved it—clean rooms, comfy beds, great pool, and breakfast. Jennifer at the front desk is wonderful, always friendly and professional. But Brent’s attitude has really hurt the experience. Twice he’s been rude and dismissive, even making senior guests wait hours for rooms that were clearly available. When I left my computer mouse in the bed, he promised to follow up but never did. Now they’re adding resort fees in November—a terrible move. Resort fees are one of the reasons Vegas collapsed. I truly hope management fixes the service issue and keeps the charm that made this hotel special.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was dated as we expected but the air conditioner sounded like a jet engine we did not get much sleep ugh! The pool area looked nice, I’m sure if your room faces the pool area it’s easier to look past the dark dated room. It was the only hotel we have stayed at that the doors on the main floor to get to parking lot or pool area did not automatically lock so that seemed off. Anyways we checked out 2 days earlier as we needed to get some sleep and Indian Wells is a long way out from most things.
