Paradise found
We split our vacation to stay half on each side, and stayed here first. Because we are staying on the Kona side for the second half, we landed in Kona, so it was quite a drive - THAT WE WERE TOTALLY EXPECTING! This is not a complaint, just a statement ;) We arrived in the dark, but were still able to see what a beautiful home this was! We were lulled to sleep by the sounds of the waves crashing on the rocks below. We woke refreshed to the most beautiful views! Our days out were nice because we planned it so that we visited areas on this side while here (Volcano Park, and the coast up from Hilo). We walked the neighborhood and were greeted by a neighbor, we noticed that the Big Island has the friendliest locals (we have stayed at all the main islands)! We were sad to leave, but left feeling so relaxed and refreshed! The home was clean, our bed was so comfortable, and we had plenty of towels, dishes, and more available to us. We ate most meals there, and used the barbecue. This home is off the beaten path, in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood with the most amazing views! Thank you for sharing your home with us!!

Hilo paradise
Was an amazing place to stay for our short stay on the Hilo side. Views were beautiful and so was the pool! The place was very clean and had just about everything you would need! Thank you for an amazing stay, would highly recommend.

Windward coast home
Overall we are happy with our stay of six days. It was extremely windy with rough surf for the first few days resulting in salt spray on the house and moisture inside. There are hoses outside so you can wash the windows to see outside. Once the wind decreased and the sun came out it was really good. The house has all tile floors, practical but noisy. Any sounds from the main bedroom could be heard in the bedroom below. There was plenty of kitchen equipment. We saw two whales cruising by. We did use the pool - noodles are provided. The maintenance staff were very responsive. Restaurants and groceries are 15 minutes away. Both the local fish and Mexican restaurants are very good. So is the grocery store. The photo shown is a good example of the surf at this house. Beautiful.

Whales, Surf, Lava, Pool, Palms, and Full Moon! Paradise!
This is a large, beautiful home right on the coast. The huge surf on beautiful lava cliffs was incredible, beautiful private pool with full moon rising out of the Pacific into a palm-lined sky visible from every room and the covered deck. It was so wonderful! Can’t think of anything that could have been better.

Nice property
The property is as described in the listing. Beautiful backyard and view. But we couldn’t enjoy the view from the house because of the ocean sprays on the windows. We can go to the patios (upstairs and downstairs - nice), but it was very windy and a bit cold (about 68 to 70 degrees). Unfortunately, during our stay, it was cloudy and raining. The owner was quick in the response. Note: You should read the rental agreement before you pay.

Great location
Best location of anyplace we have stayed. Right on the waterfront where you can sit and watch the waves come in and break over the lava rocks. House was great size and couls easily fit two families. Only downside was something was left in the garbage disposal which had a strong odor. The two indoor garbage containers also had a strong odor from something that had leaked through the plastic bags from previous guests.

Gorgeous Views
We stayed a week in this gorgeous home. It really does have 180 degrees of ocean view. The cooling ocean breezes were wonderful. On the ocean side, you hear nothing except the surf. On the other, you can hear birds. We saw a few whale pods and lots of green lizards. We even had a teeny crab come for a visit. The kitchen was very well equipped. It is a good 15 minute drive from the nearest stores. This whole side of the island is much more laid back than tourist trap Kona.

Amazing views!
Our family of 5 was wowed the second we walked in the door! There was plenty of room for three teens to claim their spots and also space for the family to hang out together. Hearing and seeing the ocean crash into the rocks was magnificent. Enjoyed having a home base on this side of the island after some time in Kona. Wish we had more time in this fantastic house!
