**About this space:**
This property provides convenient access to Ottumwa Regional Health and is located 20 miles from Davis County Hospital (Bloomfield), Albia, or Fairfield. It is an excellent choice for traveling nurses, doctors, or executives, as it is situated near John Deere and other major companies.
The minimum stay is four to seven nights, depending on the season. If you stay a week there is a 10% discount. However, a 30-day stay or longer is preferred. A 25% discount is available for stays of 30 nights or more.
The farmhouse features one bedroom with a king-sized bed, one bedroom with an antique full-sized bed, one bedroom with a bunk bed (twin over full), and a queen bed in the basement. There are three bedrooms and a full bathroom upstairs, along with a half bathroom on the main floor.
The property is fully furnished and accommodates individuals and families. The 1900 sqft house expands to 2700 sqft with the basement.
My home offers a lower nightly rate due to its focus on the short-term rental market rather than the vacation home market. This property is the best place to stay in Ottumwa whether you come for 4 days or 4 months!
If you are traveling for a short-term job assignment, this house is the perfect fit. We require a minimum stay of four to seven nights, but you can stay as long as four to five months or longer with approval.
This vintage farmhouse is centrally located in the city. It offers easy access to Ottumwa Regional Health (3 miles) and 20 miles from Bloomfield, Iowa (HWY 63), Albia, Iowa, and Fairfield, Iowa (HWY 34). There are several rural hospitals within 30 miles, and several large companies, including John Deere, are located nearby.
The house comprises four bedrooms, with three available for rent. One spacious bedroom features a king-sized bed with a TV, another accommodates a teenager or adult with an antique full bed, and the final room is designed for an adult and/or child (a bunk bed with a twin mattress on top, exclusively for children only, NO adults in the top bunk, and a full mattress below for anyone). All bedrooms are located on the upper level, adjacent to the full bathroom. The basement is equipped with a queen bed with a seating area featuring two loveseats and a TV. Additionally, a half bath is situated on the main level. There is parking for 2 vehicles in our driveway, but no garage access.
The house is fully furnished with vintage antiques, oak furniture, and a leather sectional sofa. It is equipped with all the necessary amenities for your stay. The dining room table can accommodate six people. A washer and dryer are located in the basement (which is dry, usable, and not creepy!). The kitchen is newly renovated, featuring white cabinets, new appliances, new countertops, and an island for dining.
All utilities, lawn service, and some snow removal are included in the rent.
You are welcome to bring yourself, your family (up to four guests), or split the cost with another traveling nurse or associate. The house offers ample space for a 1900 square foot home (2700 square feet if you include the basement). Dogs are considered on an individual basis (no cats are allowed, as I am allergic and reside in the house six months of the year), and smoking is strictly prohibited on the premises, both indoors and outdoors.
To reserve our place, you must pay for a one-week stay upfront. Once you have confirmed your travel dates, please inform me, and I will allocate the remaining days on the calendar. You can then make monthly payments upon your arrival if stay for an extended period of time.
