The place itself is cute and the area was nice and quiet. Unfortunately, it was not disclosed in the listing that the host lives on the property in the bigger home. It was also not disclosed that there is an off leash dog and cat living on the property. We were transparent about bringing two dogs with us. We were surprised when we got there and the host asked for our dogs to meet his dog. We were not comfortable with this. They also added a 100 pet fee after we booked which was not disclosed in the listing. We tried to contact support and they were not helpful. There was a lot of dust and trash underneath of the bed. There was confederate memorabilia covering the indoors including a “hate or heritage” newspaper article... We asked within the first hour if we could leave and get a refund and the answer was no. We would not have booked this property had we known that the host lived on the property and there would be other animals there. The host was nice despite these issues. There was plenty of firewood provided, and most supplies that we needed were available. Hopefully moving forward, the listing is updated and reflective of what the experience will be. I believe we were the first people to stay there. For reference, I’ve never given a rental a bad review before, but felt I needed to be honest for future stays.
