Tuscan Ridge es un barrio tranquilo situado entre los naranjales de Davenport, Florida. Great house!

We really loved this house! Big, spacious, beautiful, peaceful in a quiet area. We had a situation the first day but Kevin answered and resolved us quickly. Near attractions and stores!

This was a fantastic, large and open home for our week-long stay. It was very pet-friendly, with a large unfenced yard and great views. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking utensils, and the living areas were very comfortable. The welcome book had a lot of great information about the property. There were some minor cosmetic repairs needed to some kitchen appliances, but everything was in working order and comfortable. We had a great time with our family of adults, but this property would also be great for families with younger children as well.

The layout of the house was nice. There were a lot of items that have been neglected. We paid for the pool to be heated and it took most of the week for it to be swimmable, it was like the filter hadn't been turned on in weeks and then turned on the morning of our arrival. Kitchen faucet sprayed water out of a hole on the side of the spout and the right side bowl didn't drain. Toilets leaked, closet doors missing handles, none of the TV remotes had working batteries, things like that. These are items that don't make the house non livable just if I pay to stay somewhere I would like the upkeep to be at a certain standard.

Nice...But Updates Needed

My husband and I recently stayed at this property for a month. Upon arriving the property was very clean with several nice touches such as neatly folded towels and small bottles of soaps in the bathroom. The host was very attentive to the few questions we had while staying and quick to answer our questions. The neighborhood was excellent and we met the nicest people while staying there. It is close to all of the parks and the sunsets are stunning from the back yard. With all of this said there are also a few updates that need to be done. First and most important is the master bedroom mattress. We were horrified when we stripped the bed to find that it was heavily soiled and stained. This was incredibly upsetting to find and needs to be replaced. We also found the grill to be very dirty and filled with lizards. There is also a major safety concern with the next door neighbor so beware if you stay here with a pet. They have 2 very large and aggressive dogs that they are constantly letting out off leash. At one point we observed this dog attacking a Gopher Tortoise which are a threatened and protected species. The owner struggled to remove the dog from the tortoise only after I shouted out. I can only imagine if it had been us walking our small dog. Finally the outside landscaping needs TLC as it's lawn was burnt and shrubs dead unlike the neighbors around it.

Great house to stay!

There's a few things that could use some attention. However overall it's a great place to stay. Great pans for cooking in. Pool was nice. Beds were comfortable. The TVs were Roku so we had more than regular cable to watch. Would stay again.

Very nice rental property

Was nice and comfortable. There was a broken hair dryer left on the kitchen counter. We are not sure why it was there so we left it there. The light switch did not work in the master bedroom. It might have just had burnt out bulbs in it. There was a missing light bulb over one of the sinks in the master bedroom which didn't bother us. There were also several broken floor tiles and some were loose. The master bedroom shower floor was slick and my wife fell in there and ended up with a substantial dark bruise on her back that is about the size of a tennis ball. Overall it is a nice place and a good location for visiting Disney, Universal Studios, etc. and its nice to be able to have your pets stay with you too.

Easy Breezy

This property was perfect for our group of seven. It was perfectly clean, which I always appreciate. The location was perfect for our trips to Universal and Disney, as well as being close to lots of shopping and restaurants. But my favorite thing was how easy the host made everything. Check in was easy, cleaning up was easy. It was exactly what we needed for a vacation with kids.

Perfect place and location!

The house was perfect! The inside is just as pictured and it was super clean and the location was ideal! Quiet neighborhood! So many restaurants and stores near by. The kids loved the pool. And the sunsets were unreal. 30-40 mins to the major parks depending on traffic. Kevin was very responsive! The only thing that threw us was the house was gray and the pic is beige other then that everything else is the same. Perfect for our family of 5 and our small dog. Definitely would stay here again!

Not terrible but would not stay again

Overall our stay was good. Check in was very easy and convenient although once we arrived we didn’t have power to the first half of the house and pool pump. Turned out to be a bad breaker which was no fault to the owner or property manager. What was bothersome was the fact that the property wasn’t checked over before we arrived. It was very obvious the power had been out for a good period of time due to the temperature inside the home being over 80 degrees(A/C also was affected by bad breaker)Had the property been checked over prior the issue would have been addressed a lot soon.The cleanliness of the inside of the house was good, the pool on the other hand was constantly full of bugs. I think this is due the age of the lanai ( very obvious signs of wear and tear ) and possibly an issue with the pool pump. I did notify the property owner and manager of the issue we came across and they were very prompt in responding. The property manager was there within 30mins. He was able to get most things running most importantly the A/C. What had affected us the most was the stove not working. We have a young daughter with autism and has very strong food aversions so the meals we needed to cook for her we could not. The stove was fixed after breaker was replaced on day 5 of our 7 day trip. Had the breaker not been bad and the pool in better shape I would give 10/10. Unfortunately we just got the short end of the stick with this one. We decided to leave early. One nights stay was refunded

Florida Family Vacation

The check in process is smooth and easy. Upon arrival, the pool was not cleaned. There were pool toys and other items left behind from the previous guests. My husband had to clean out bugs and geckos as well as try to seal out some tears in the lanai to prevent the continuation of them coming in. The previous renters did not clean up after their dogs outside in the yard or in the house, which left numerous stains on the rug in the master bedroom as well as the living room area. We attempted to clean it and the owner did offer to have a professional come to clean the carpets. We opted not to do that simply bc it would have upset our one dog. The fridge’s ice maker was not working and the fridge’s temperature was not cold, which we learned upon returning from the grocery store. My husband was able to fix both—but the light is still burned out in the fridge. The dryer does not dry the clothing fully after one cycle and even after cleaning it out with the vacuum we needed to dry clothing twice most times. There is a cleaning fee, other than the toilets and possibly vacuuming I’m not sure what gets cleaned in between guests? The house needs a THOROUGH deep clean. There is dust and mold throughout. The furniture near the pool area needs to be replaced as it is torn and extremely worn. They allow pets which is a positive however the back yard is a large hill and there are neighbors on both sides. The one neighbor keeps his dog off leash all the time & it is not friendly.

Wonderful vacation home

From the moment I viewed the listing to the actual stay it was a wonderful experience. The home is clean, tastefully decorated and the location is excellent. My family enjoyed the pool time as well. The beds are very comfortable. The king master bedroom with attached ensuite has a soaker tub and seperate shower. The host is quick to answer questions. I highly recommend this home. Thank you to Kevin for allowing my family to come there and enjoy our time together. We have made so many memories this week.

To sum up in a single word: "okay.” Positives: property manager was initially responsive. We got brand new pots, pans and knives to replace old unusable ones when we complained, as well as a new office chair. There was a new BBQ. House was reasonably clean, and we never saw a bug. Wifi worked well, as did the heating and A/C. Water pressure was good. Pool was good size and heat was good. Negatives: property manager became less responsive over time. We had to solve clogged sink ourselves, despite his promises to come. Pool had a leak, had to add water every day, and it was not the cleanest. It turned green in our last week, and property manager had to come because pool company did not show. Grounds need maintenance, and junk needs to be removed. Neighbor has 2 big guard dogs that are always off leash and come onto the property – they charged our dog. Same neighbor also dumps garbage and recycling in our bins. Most appliances need to be replaced. Kitchen equipment other than new stuff needs replacing. Water tastes terrible – there’s a Brita but no filter. TVs are basic with no remotes, no cable, but there are Roku devices. King and Queen mattresses need to be replaced. Expect to supply all consumables, there is almost nothing. Generally, the house is tired, and could use updating and maintenance. If this was done, the rating could easily go up to “great.”
