Convenience of an apartment

Overall good place for price. Able to cook but floors need refurbishing/replacement to a cleaner form e.g., wood laminate or tiles that can be easily cleaned and does not retain smell.

Basic & Functional

Firstly, staff were lovely, but the desks are not manned 24hrs so access on arrival is difficult. The apartments were basic, linen was at a minimum, you pay extra for parking & towels & the beds were uncomfortable. We have stayed in better equipped apartments for the same price.

Quiet, relaxed family spot. Euro traveller mix

Great spot in a quiet bit of nice. Good for families, but not too noisy. Should only go if your kids are happy to play quietly as families there tended to rest in afternoon. pool has no shallow end so not right for nervous young swimmers but still lovely.

Positive for ammenieties - not great for location

Nice accommodation for the price compared to similar properties. Downside is the distance from the old town and main attractions of the town. Also the hill to enter the building is a challenge for even the younger! We were told we could drop our bags earlier and leave later but neither happened which was an inconvenience. The positive was the lovely gardens, well equipped kitchen and nice accommodation. Recommend to anyone not wanting to spend too much time in the main part of town.

Quiet and peaceful location

Exceptionally clean. Garden area an absolute treat to relax in late afternoon. The pool/area is small but this adds to the charm and the seclusion and it was hardly used/never busy. It is also very well maintained. You are 500 yards from the beach and yes, it is a small hill to walk but it's not exactly a 1 in 4! There is a Carrefour Express at the bottom of the hill but be warned it is not cheap; rather, you'd be better finding a Casino (Spar) and buying there. I've been to Nice many times over the years; this time we decided to drive again. There is parking at the Residence but if you have a big old convertible like me you will struggle to get in and out (it's underground) so I ended up parking outside the residence in the side street and, whilst I had no problem squeezing just be warned it's not easy! They also charge 8 euros a night for parking underground. The biggest problem overall for our holiday was actuallly finding the residence. It's not on Fabron; rather, it's a side street off and the sign to identify it is so so small that you just keep missing it as you drive up and down Fabron. Finally, there were a few nights when the neighbouring residence played music quite late (bunch of Italians staying there), which grated but within about 10 minutes someone must have had a word and it died down. This is reflective of the fact that you are in a residential area just off the beach and you must respect.

You'll get what you pay for.

We found this hotel to be ok, its a bit dated not a great location, its up the hill and a bit of a walk from shops and bus stop. On the plus side, we found it very clean and secure. The small pool was very quiet and we were usually the only people there. It was one of the cheapest on offer, and if your looking for a cheap break this is ideal. Given a choice, next time i would pay a bit more and stay closer to the center.

Maeva in Nice

We had a fine time at the (self service; kitchen in apartment) Hotel. The reception worked fine and staff was very capable. It is also located in a fine area and with good communications. The garden and pool area is very nice. It is evident thought that the hotel is from the seventies and needs an update. The has been some renovation and change of equipment over the years, but it is also outdated and in need of a total do-over. It is not a 3 star hotel by normal standards, but still a nice place in some respects.

A good value package with only minor negatives.

We enjoyed our stay at the Residence Maeva very much. It's a pleasant place in a good neighbourhood. The rooms are very clean and adequately comfortable. Being able to sit outside our room, in privacy, to eat was a good feature - however, we were on the ground floor near the swimming pool resulting in a rather shadey environment. This could be an advantage at the height of summer of course, except perhaps if the pool was noisy, but for us in the middle of September it meant we were less inclined to cook our own meals and ate out more than intended. If we go there again it would only be if we could have a room above the ground floor with a balcony. The cooking facilities were good but there was no kettle causing teamaking to be slightly less convenient than it should've been, especially as there was a teapot supplied. The coffee maker worked well. The staff at Reception were very helpful and all spoke good English. Anne-Charlotte was especially kind and helpful (she was on duty for most of the first part of our stay), spoke excellent English and always had a cheery smile. She gave us excellent advice on how to get about etc. Reception is only staffed at certain times.This was not a problem except in one respect. Arriving on a Saturday, we could not check in until 1700 at the earliest. This is quite inconvenient when you arrive in the morning and have to lug your luggage about with you all day. A midday opening would be most welcome.

Very Nice

Nice appartment, good location, lovely gardens and pool. No kettle(!) and only a microwave - no oven. Twin beds, but VERY close together! Altogether a good value stay and would go there again.

Toppentrevligt!

Bodde två nätter med döttrarna, 14 och 12 år. Fantastiskt bra för sitt pris! Vacker trädgård utanför balkongen, 5 minuters promenad ner till stranden och bad, litet pentry för självhushåll. Lite hårda sängar, vandrarhemsstandard ungefär, men helt okej. Åker vi till Nice igen blir det absolut Pierre et Vacances ännu en gång! Personalen såg vi inte mycket av, vi skötte ju oss själva, men det lilla vi hade med dem att göra var ok. Artiga o korrekta.

Renovierungsbedürftiges Hotel mit komischem Boden und starkem Schimmelgeruch im Bad. Die Küche war gut, mit allen Geräten und dem Geschirr drin. Das Zimmer ist klein , aber mit einer Klimaanlage.

Tout à fait convenable !

Petite chambre très correcte, bien équipée, juste le lit double qui est en fait deux petit lits... Accueil sympa. L'emplacement est légèrement excentré du centre ville mais à 10 minutes de la promenade des anglais et des bus qui vous amènent directement en ville (15 minutes). Attention le service des bus de nuits commence dès 21h/22hà Nice !!!

Rimelig og greit
