- Close to everything in downtown Nice - Beautiful and spacious, with lots of natural light I would definitely stay here again! There were small black flying insects in the kitchen sink. Great apartment central to everything and only 5 minute walk to the beach. My only complaint would be we were told there was AC in all rooms and this was not the case. Only one of the bedrooms had AC (not the master) and there was only one other AC unit for the rest of the apartment. It was still better than nothing but took about 2 days for the apartment to cool down to a comfortable sleeping temperature. It was also during a massive heat wave when we arrived and not the norm, so under regular templates I’m sure it’s not an issue. The apartment itself was great. Plenty of space for my husband and I to both work remotely in the evenings and our son to have his own space as well. There’s a grocery store literally next door & we cooked in most nights. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. It’s a bit noisy with the windows open, but you’re in the city and that’s to be expected.. The promenade and beach clubs are just a straight walk down and only maybe 5-7 minutes away. Old Town Nice is only about a 15 minute walk and there’s plenty of restaurants around everywhere. We found a great coffee shop called Le Country Store just down the street that I enjoyed most mornings. We enjoyed drinks at Cafe de Nice down on the Main Street. We had a wonderful lunch at Le Liber’Tea (get the frog legs!!) but I wouldn’t recommend Le Petit Beef Bar. Drinks were horribly unbalanced & service was painfully slow. Food was mediocre at best.Thanks for a great visit!
