Nice view, quite neighborhood at night

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice home, pleasant view, not much noise from other visitors in adjacent homes. But one toilet flush valve flapper needs to be replace since the toilet would just continue to run without helping the flapper close by continuous jiggling of the handle. Also, one of the small beds is just uncomfortable and seemed to be higher in the middle than on the sides. Maybe I'm a bit of a princess sleeping on a pea under the mattress--that's a fairy tale reference--but it made for a night of restless sleep.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Love this house! We have stayed at this home twice and have had a great time, created great memories, and would go back. The only complaint our party has is the first time we rented you could use the fireplaces and this time all fireplaces said for decorative purposes only. Big disappointment. It's cold in the morning and at night and not having use of the fireplace is big. Especially since it is a focal point and area to sit. Other than that love the house.

Terrible neighbors

Love Newport Beach the location being next to the bay and the beach at the same time. Warning!!! about the neighbors with this particular home. There is a rental on one side which was great but the other side two brothers and their wives and kids live there 24 hours a day seven days a week. You will notice there over grown storage room as you’re walking into the side door of this rental.They watch this property like a hawk very territorial about their parking spaces out front. They have overgrown their garage so they use 4 cars out front and space them out to make sure they always have parking available for themselves. We accidentally used one of these spaces when we first arrived, they happened to be gone for a minute and then we started to realize that we were irritating them by taking the free parking out in front. These neighbors made it very uncomfortable to be comfortable in the rental. We saw them everywhere on the beach on our walks on bike rides. It was like they were following us. It was really strange they didn’t work and they were always everywhere. Just a warning, very terrible neighbors for a vacation rental. It was sad to see that other reviews have mentioned the neighbors as well. These were the same neighbors that were there the first time the storage room was packed full last time this time they just added more people to their home more cars more kids.

Nice place

Worked out perfectly for the 7 of us. Nice being on the Harbor side, very quiet. Garage was awesome to have in Newport. All in all a very nice stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Excellent location between the bay and ocean. Enjoyed walking (8 min.) to Balboa Fun Zone for restaurants and the Ferry to the island. Missed coffee the first morning. A coffee maker with coffee and a few condiments like salt and oil would have been appreciated. TV didn't work at all. We had our own devices to fill the void. Internet was out one of the days. Overall the view and location was exceptional, making this a most memorable experience. We are a three generation family.

Balboa

Property is in an excellent location! Beautiful view from the living room kitchen area. Easy access to the beach directly in front of the home. Large bedrooms and bathrooms with great storage. Perfect place for the perfect weekend. We will definitely stay again.

Disappointing Rental with Great Views.

Great view of the harbor, but the house is very dated, especially the kitchen and bath. Sleeps 8, but you have to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the rest of the house. All the non-stick cook wear except for 1 had scrapes throughout the non-stick surface. The cooking utensils had food still stuck on them from the previous guests. With the cook wear provided you really can't cook for 8. There are no toiletries provided and only 1 roll of paper towels for the entire stay. The upstairs bathroom faucet has the hot water and cold water handles mixed up, so the hot water is on the right and cold on the left. They have very hot water, so almost everyone burned themselves when they turned on the water to wash their hands, thinking it was the cold water. The furnace was not working and when we called maintenance in the middle of the night because we could smell an odor, we were told they would come, but they never did, even after 2 calls in the middle of the night, so we had to turn off the furnace in the middle of the night in December when the temperature was 40F. When we arrived, we had to make our own beds with the linens and bedding that was provided in a saran wrapped and put on each bed. There were not enough blankets and pillowcases provided, so we had to call the next day for more. Which made our 1st night a horribly cold night since the furnace wasn't working and there weren't enough blankets. The TV doesn't work, it turns off and on and does not connect to the internet, so you can't watch Netflix, Hulu, etc. Lastly, for check-out, after paying over $400 in cleaning fees, we were told we needed to take out the trash, remove all bedding and linens and place them by the door and wash the dishes. We loved the view of the harbor, but won't be renting this place for our next stay.

Review of 925 W Bay Ave - Newport Beach

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay overall. The rental sleeps 8 adults but the bedroom layout was a bit awkward, as you had to walk through one bedroom to access the back of the rental which contained another bedroom, laundry and garage. The kitchen and baths were very dated and the kitchen did not contain cookware for 8 adults. We love to cook and there were no large size bots for steaming shrimp, making stir fry, etc. We had to cook in stages. Plumbing issue with one of the toilets resulted in a call to maintenance when we arrived. Plumber was very prompt and fixed the issue, but left a big mess in the bathroom which we cleaned. Burr White was super nice and helpful, but we likely will not rent this particular unit again for the above reasons. The view and location were excellent though!

It was large enough to house our large family and the two car garage was a luxury with hard to find street parking. We will definitely be back for another visit.
