Great hotel, amazing restaurant

It is a lovely hotel, clean and comfortable. Our favorite part was their AMAZING restaurant. We had whitefish and ribs one night, and Lake perch another, with wild rice. Delicious!

Could use work for sure but it was okay

Upon getting to the hotel the lady at the front desk was nice and greeted us explained the breakfast times and checkout time everything was fine. We drive to the other side of the building I helped my 3 young kids out of the car and grabbed a couple bags to bring in, we got to the room and no matter what we did the keys didnt work so I had to drive back around and tell the lady they dont work she asked if I tried going slowly I said yes even had my daughter try and nothing worked she goes yeah you need to go super slow but heres new keys and told me shed meet me at the room to make sure we got in. Finally it worked but you guessed it once again the keys didnt work in fact I booked a stay for 3 days NONE OF THE DAYS WE WERE THERE THE KEYS WORKED MORE THAN ONE SINGLE TIME. In fact I had seen a man working the desk at night and I said this is the 3rd time I've needed to get another key made this is getting to be ridiculous his response was "yeah well when I started here this place was like a 3 start hotel now it's a 2 but heres another key sorry" It was super inconvenient and frustrating especially being out all day doing things with the kids and lots of driving to come back to the room to find the door key doesnt work. Breakfast was ok could be better and couldve had some more options, the waffles were pretty good except there was only 1 machine working due to the overnignt staff being too lazy to clean it so they stuck a out of order sign on it so nobody uses it.

The check in was horrible. The room keys just worked once so every time we re-entered the room had to ask for new keys. The breakfast was a joke. Few items and a lot of empty containers (it was before 8am). The lady at the desk this morning was rid and clearly demonstrated she did not want to be there. Dark green carpet long due for cleaning was the cherry on the cake. Bad experience.

The pictures found online do not match what you see in person. The rooms are dark and probably haven’t been updated since the 90’s. Minimal outlets, and no USB ports to be found. The front desk receptionist also cared for the breakfast area which did not work in anyone’s favor. Many other people I spoke to at breakfast time had issues as well- promised an ADA room and it wasn’t, promised connecting rooms and none available. The only plus- was no bugs as far as I could tell. This hotel needs a total overhaul starting with owner/management

Our room was not ready when we arrived at 7 PM. We were told all of the cleaning staff had quit and walked out that morning. We were told our room would not be ready for one hour. We did not wait around. The hotel lobby and surrounding area did not look inviting.
