Cute As A Bug Cottage On The Shores of Big Manistique Lake

Our 'Cozy Cottage' is the quintessential UP knotty pine cottage. Quaint and cozy and right on the east shore of Big Manistique Lake, it's the perfect place to enjoy all that Michigan's 4 seasons have to offer. Cozy Cottage is centrally located in the eastern UP so many of the favorite attractions are within an hours drive.

If you're just looking for a place to relax and enjoy the lake, Cozy Cottage has a lakefront deck with ample seating, an outdoor table for dining, and a gas BBQ. There is a fire pit just feet from the shoreline for spectacular sunset views, and there is a stone fireplace inside.

Cozy Cottage has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen that includes a coffee pot, toaster, crock pot, air fryer and Ninja blender. We have a Reverse Osmosis drinking water system so you don't need to buy bottled water. Full dinnerware is supplied. The spacious dining room seats 6. All bed linens and bath towels are provided as well as all paper products. You will need to bring your own beach towels. We have the Highline Fiberoptics so you’ll have excellent TV viewing in the living room and both bedrooms, and great WIFI for your phones.

We have a dock if you're bringing a boat and we are only 500 feet away from a public launch. Our lot is private to the road and there is space to park your trailers behind the garage. We have 3 kayaks available for guest use and we provide the lifejackets.

If you're visiting in the winter, there is a lean to off the garage for your snow machines.

We love our Cozy Cottage and have vacationed here ourselves before we bought it. We hope you will love it too!

We absolutely loved it. So cozy, everything is so well thought off, perfectly stocked with all kinds of utensils and necessities. Lovely view of the lake and great location central to explore the area.

Perfect place to unwind !!
We fell in love with the Cozy Cottage 3 years ago and it's now our go to spot in the UP. Location is perfect for all kinds of sightseeing being just a short drive away. Good food nearby, and a well stocked kitchen if you want to save some money and do your own cooking. Living room is our favorite spot to relax with a wood-burning fireplace and gorgeous views of the lake complete with breath-taking sunsets. Owners are so easy to work with and truly care about their guests. Stay. You won't be disappointed!

Our stay at Cozy Cottage was amazing. The attention to detail from the owners is spot on. From the Eddie Bauer flannel sheet, warm blankets, and cream and sugar. There wasn’t anything out of place. I will recommend this property to everyone.

Thank you for a great weekend getaway. The Cozy Cottage did not disappoint. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking to get away and recharge the batteries. I was highly impressed with the well stocked kitchen, a large selection of clean cookware, utensils, and tableware. Everytime we needed something, it was readily available and it just made out stay so much better. Thank you for having us and we hope to be back next year.

WONDERFUL!
We had a great stay at the cozy cottage! Diane was super easy to get a hold of with questions, just a text away. The cabin was perfect, being on the water was amazing! We were there during probably some of the hottest days of the summer so it was a little warm sleeping at night but the breeze through the main part of the cabin was great. Wifi could be spotty but didnt bother us as that wasnt our main concern. We kayaked, biked, and hiked. Wonderful area and Diane was an amazing host!

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is centrally located in the eastern U.P., so it was convenient for visiting other attractions. We rented a fishing boat for the Fish&Hunt shop in Curtis. They delivered it to the public access a few cottages down. That worked well, and we even got to have a walleye dinner!
