With the doors closed, I could still hear the music but I didnt mind it, made me want to go outside and see the excitement of the city. The French Quarter

Dating back to the early 1700s, the French Quarter stands as the city's oldest neighborhood as well as the cultural and social heart. That means you won't have trouble finding something to do. Simply walk around and enjoy the French and Spanish colonial architecture, and sample a bowl of jambalaya along the way. Enter the madness of Bourbon Street, and have some drinks at one of the pubs as you listen to live music. Or chill with a cup of coffee in Jackson Square, and chat with street performers. The National World War II Museum is only 1.5 miles away via vehicle or streetcar, and it boasts informative displays about life during the Second World War; this site is certainly worth a stop for history buffs.

"This was our second time at the Dauphine. It has a great location. The rooms are efficient and clean. Both times our rooms have featured large showers with great water pressure. Parking is convenient. Staff is responsive. I was disappointed that the ice machine in our area of the hotel was broken, and I had to cross the street to the main hotel for ice. The pool pump failed during our visit, and the hotel arranged access to a pool at a sister property so we could continue to party. Very much recommend."
