The property itself is fantastic and every single person who works there is professional and welcoming. They were super helpful in answering our questions and were very accommodating. My only complaint is that the room we were staying in faced the street and there must have been a club nearby because there was loud, thumping music until pretty late into the night. This would not stop me from staying again, but it did make it harder to go to sleep. Overall, though, this hotel is very clean and close to a lot of amenities and the staff is wonderful so I would stay there again if I went back to New Haven.

I recently stayed there with family in March 2025. This hotel is very close (walkable) to Yale New Haven Hospital, and so we stayed there while my father endured a challenging hospital stay. This was a difficult time for us as a family, and every member of the hotel staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and hassle free. Each and every one we encountered was professional, helpful, and kind. We are so grateful and wanted to acknowledge the excellence of this hotel and its staff!

Perfect Stay – Excellent Location & Excellent Service I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location couldn’t be better—everything was easily accessible, making it convenient for exploring the area. The customer service was excellent; the staff was warm, attentive, and always ready to assist. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean, and the lovely decor added a touch of elegance and comfort. The New Haven Hotel is centally located in downtown New Haven. Walking distance from the central campuses of Yale Univeristy, and near the Green, with its three famous and historic churches. Yale Divinity School is a little over a half-hour walk away and the Union train station is a little less than a half-hour walk away. Hotel decore was recently updated,and Yale-themed. The gym was nice, but my room was located accross from it, so it was rather noisy in the evenings. Staff were very nice and helpful. The lack of a breakfast and the available (for a charge) breakfast and snacks to-go did the job, but could be improved. My room was very nice and recently renovated. However, it looked out onto a solid concrete wall. So, folks may wish to request a room with a view.
