We’ve stayed a several rooms at Nāpili Shores and it’s a lovely complex. This unit has the views and I can see why it gets booked. This units pros - We loved the view and the sounds of the ocean. Communication with property management company was also good check ins/out. Kitchen had items to cook/coffee etc. Cons - What we didn’t love was the bed, and I was optimistic but looking thru the reviews the comments on the bed have been noted since 2022 so, it seems that replacing the bed is NOT a priority. (People are booking why change?)SO if you decide to book this room make sure you have plenty of Advil because by day 4 your back and neck are going to be a wreck from the bed. (Think bed from the movie the Money Pit collapsing in the middle…) Also, pillows are flat and linens all around are thin. Kitchen faucet trickles making dishes and filling coffee pot timely. Carpet in one part of the room definitely needs a cleaning (black feet).We enjoyed our time - but wished there was a little more love put into the room for guests.

This property is clean and spacious, with a fabulous oceanfront setting in the best building at Napili Shores. It is just as pictured, with plenty of seating and storage. There are several ceiling fans, plus stand fans, so it is easy to keep a comfortable temperature (even without using the a/c, which worked great.)The property manager was proactively communicative, providing clear information exactly when promised. It was a seamless check-in/check-out experience. We did not have any problems while there.The kitchen has ample dishes and glassware, but it is a bit sparse on basic spices (compared to other rentals we have used.) Salt and pepper -- that's about it.The factor preventing a 5-star review is the mattress and bedding. The mattress is quite uncomfortable...very squishy and lumpy. The bedding and pillows are inexpensive quality, functional but not especially comfortable. It is unfortunate, because otherwise this would have easily been a five-star stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this condo. The views of the tide pools and Molokai were absolutely stunning. The Gazebo is right next to the building, and Napili Bay is maybe a 5 minutes walk. The room was clean and accurately described for the most part. I want to break this review in half because my wife and I did thoroughly enjoy our stay here, but we do have some qualms. At this price point, we would have liked to have more than one beach towel per person, and not having a basic smart TV that you can stream to is extremely unfortunate. It’s just a cable box and a 2005 Toshiba DVD player. The ongoing construction was annoying. The bed is extremely uncomfortable and left my partner and I both with sore back after our stay.

Overall it was a nice stay with easy access to the beach. The view from the room was beautiful since we were directly in front of the ocean! We were still close enough to the pool and hot tub amenities but far enough away from the noise that may come with that area. We liked that this location was not in the bustle of a heavy commercialized/ tourist spot, so it didn’t feel as busy and crowded. My partner and I had already explored much of Maui by the time we ended our trip here, so we did find the nearby food options to be limited and decent but not as great as other towns. Just like the other reviews, the bed absolutely needs to be changed! It’s a Murphy bed. The mattress has indentations from all previous use, so it is too soft, not supportive, and difficult to get a solid night of sleep. We’re a couple in our 30s, but I imagine this would be difficult for someone older or who must have a firmer bed. It’s disappointing that the property manager has not improved this despite all the negative reviews about the bed. Additionally, the outlets on either side of the bed are far away. You need an extra long charging cable to get around the Murphy bed frame. The wooden structure is useless and should just be removed for a more optimal bed setup. One of the fans (the kitchen one) did not work and seemed to not be connected to any switch. It wasn’t necessary for us, and thankfully the fan above the bed worked without issues.

Great views and accessibility to restaurants

Our room had a direct ocean-facing view of the ocean, Molokai, and Napili Bay off to the north. Every day we sat on the lanai and watched whale activity, surfers, awesome sunsets and beautiful moon and star gazing at night.Because of the lower temps and humidity, we slept with the lanai door partially open and slept to the soothing sound of waves.Our main complaint is the bed. Probably the worst bed I have slept in, in a long time. VERY soft and has deep depressions, evidence of people sleeping in it for a long time. Plus the bed creaked with every movement. I had read that others complained about the bed so I was surprised that it had not been changed out and I was disappointed the owners had not done that.Also, some of the outlets did not work, and the control for the fan above the bed was either on high or off. We could not adjust it otherwise.

Love Napilli Shores!

View was epic. In my opinion there’s no reason to come to Napilli and not smell, taste, view and hear the ocean. Paradise indeed. Place was comfortable with the exception of the beds. We spent a few nights pulling mattresses onto the floor. It’s the perfect location with responsive hosts. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay! The condo was clean and very very well stocked with everything we needed. A fabulous view and a short walk to the beach where we saw turtles everyday. We will definitely be back!

The PERFECT Spot

We could not have imagined a better place to stay for our trip. This unit was so clean, had beach chairs,towels, umbrellas, and even a first aid kit which came in handy. It was even better in person and the view and sunsets from the balcony were breathtaking. Quiet area, and super super clean. We will be staying here again if we come back to Maui 110%. You are a 3 minute walk to Nāpili bay where we saw turtles snorkeling every single day. Exceeded our expectations completely.

Location, Location, Location!

We had a relaxing stay at this VRBO rental, thanks to its prime location and stunning views of the sunsets, which were truly unforgettable. The check-in process was smooth, and the Napili Shores resort beautifully captures the essence of old Hawaii. However, the unit itself could use some attention: the bathroom had stains on the walls and floor and needed a paint touch-up, and while the shower was clean, it appeared to be original. The closet was cluttered with items, the bed seemed smaller than a queen, and the beach chairs were very damaged. We ended up renting a larger umbrella from the resort store since the provided ones were small and only attached to the beach chairs and did not provide needed shade. Additionally, the WiFi was spotty, requiring frequent resets, and the cable TV went out a few times, necessitating calls to the cable company. Despite these minor inconveniences, the incredible location and view made our stay worthwhile.

Excellent

The condo is shore front so the sound of breaking surf is constant and wonderful. The sunsets were fantastic every evening. We snorkeled every day and the west side has many excellent spots to see undersea life. The condo has all the utensils to make food. We had everything we needed. The bed was soft for our comfort but not a dealbreaker. We’d come back for sure.

The best view possible for a great price.

This property is right in Napili Shores resort. This spot overlooks the volcanic rock beach as well as the ocean where whales swim (March) and another island reveals itself in the morning. I would suggest not sleeping on the sofa bed. They need to replace it but the bed and furniture are comfy. The amenities are enough including beach gear. It is great for a couple. I cannot understate the view and the sound of the ocean.

our little GEM in Napili

we have stayed at this resort 4 times, always in either of the 2 ocean front buildings, always 2nd floor. Is probably one of our favorite places on Maui. wonderful quite location away from the mega resorts, beautiful property right on Napili Bay, rooms are always nice and clean, staff are very helpful when needed. And you get to be the first in line if you wake up early for Mac Pancakes at the Gazebo. The VALUE of this property for what you pay each night is simply fantastic... We will be back for a 5th time soon :-)

Photos are deceiving

The view of the ocean is beautiful however, that is where the beauty stops inside this condo. The bed was small, a queen which was my miss, since it says that on the description, but it was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. Lumpy and hard with no mattress cover so I could feel all of the patterns on the mattress. There were several cockroaches, alive and dead, several alive ones were in the dishwasher when we opened it. The bare minimum was used in the bathroom, a few towels, a hospital style box of cleenex and cheap shampoo and conditioner. The liquid hand soap was watered down. The appliances are old and needs to be replaced. They look dirty. On the kitchen counters were ant traps and no matter how clean you try to make this condo look, it looks unclean. We love Napili Shores and have stayed at other condos many times, this was the worst. I don't know how this place got so many five stars, unless they have a lot of relatives.

Stunning views!

My husband and I took a much needed and long overdue vacation. This was our first time in Maui. We knew we wanted a place with an ocean view and this unit did not disappoint! We enjoyed the stunning views and sound of the waves. The unit was cozy and had everything we needed for our stay. The only downside if there is no direct beach access from the unit, but it is within walking distance. The Gazebo restaurant is fantastic!!
