We selected this home with the expectation that a premium rental—particularly at a cost over 13,000 for the week—would provide a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained environment. Unfortunately, our experience thus far has been deeply concerning, frustrating and not consistent with those expectations. On our first day, there were several cockroaches that were in the home. One fell from the wall mounted AC unit and nearly landed on my son. The following morning, we discovered rat droppings on the kitchen countertop. A rat had also partially eaten a banana and chewed through a sealed bag of Hawaiian rolls. The master bedroom also had rat feces on the rug and under the loveseat. Two other bedrooms had rat droppings on the carpet and under the beds. There were multiple rats in this house! We promptly notified property management, and Terminix was sent to treat the property and set rat traps in the kitchen and bedroom area. The next morning, we also found a large rat caught in a trap behind the refrigerator. It was so big that it ran from behind the fridge and into the kitchen area with a trap on its head. The rats had been in the house for sometime before we got there. I have photos of the rat. Its tail is approx 12-14 inches long! Property manager, Mark, was a jerk to deal with. Only offered a free night. He said well, “rats are not unexpected.” Crazy! I wouldn’t waste your money staying here!
