The Surgshak is no shack! It is a charming costal retreat. The screened in front porch is so relaxing and inviting. My friends and hung out there all morning one day and my husband and his relaxed out there drinking beers the next. It is a truly dog friendly and my bulldogs were relaxed in this home away from home. There is a great trail just down the road that is minutes away and completely shaded. We enjoyed just relaxing in the very comfortable living room/furniture at the end of a day exploring. It was a very quiet location as well. The location is perfect; minutes from the Marsh Walk, restaurants, grocery, and whatever shopping you need. Brookgreen Gardens is only minutes away and worth exploring daily. The place was exactly as described, if you want a stale hotel room then stay in one, this a place to feel at home. I have no complaints, I slept on the couch only because I have different preferences than my husband who slept comfortably every night. The host Rebecca was great at communicating with us and the house was already cooled down with AC when we checked in. The house was very clean, stocked with towels and bedding provided. We had everything needed to cook and there is a Keurig and a small Coffee pot as well. If you like having a laid back vacation home than the Surfshak is sure to please.
