Located in Metchosin 30 minutes from Victoria and Sooke. The Hidden Pond spacious family suite is perfect for your family or group getaway or anyone looking for peace and tranquility. Two bedrooms include a large primary (King ) with futon coach and a bunkhouse room (two double and two single bunk beds) both with full ensuite bathrooms making this versatile space works for large families. Full kitchen with dishwasher, laundry, large living space with fireplace opens onto the large covered deck for all-season indoor and outdoor living and dining with spectacular pond and forest views. Hot tub, private beach, swimming pond, firepit, trails, and orchard on 10 private acres make this an oasis with so much to offer. This newly renovated suite can be booked to join with our Hidden Pond Gong Suite for a full property buy-out.

Please note this suite has stairs and it is a walk down to the pond , so this might not be a great option for anyone who has mobility issues.

This place is so unique! The surroundings are beautiful and worth the short drive from Victoria. The cute little pond and lots of space inside were hits with our group. Jo Ann is so welcoming and friendly and the place had little touches that make you feel welcome. Highly recommend.

Host left some baked goods and fruits to welcome us and even had bathrobes for the kids! The amenities were great! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need and more! Hot tub, pond, walking trails, fire pit and fire place. The pond was very popular for all of us…. Puppy included! Cozy and warm with ample space to spread out as well! Kids are already asking to come back next time. Thank you Jo-Ann and Rob for a very comfortable and luxurious stay!

We had a wonderful time! We were welcomed upon arrival, instructions were very clear and the property was fantastic. There was more than enough space and more than enough things to do on site. Hot tub was hot and clean, and even the trails had a little surprises along the way for us to check out! We had a great deal of fun. Will definitely recommend and will definitely be booking for the summer months when we can enjoy the property even more highly recommend Hidden Pond! The only very minor suggestion I would make is to have a more updated library of books and games. Otherwise everything was perfect.

Beautiful house with gorgeous pond and hiking trails on property! Host was very good about communicating regarding property. Thoughtful touches: muffins, seltzer, fruit for guests along with well-appointed kitchen. Outdoor deck. About a half an hour from downtown Victoria. Note that host controls the heating/cooling but is available to adjust.

Such a special property! The owners have taken so much pride in making it an excellent retreat. The work and effort is very obvious, and there are surprises around every corner. Great communication, lots of extra touches and treats. A perfect location for our family reunion. Highly recommend!

Myself, my parents, and our two dogs stayed here and absolutely loved it!! We were a short drive to Victoria (didn't have enough time to explore Sooke or Metchosin this time), and sometimes didn't even want to leave as there was so much to do at the house! It was so quiet and peaceful. We loved the hot tub, pond with floaties, hammock, trail to walk the pups, the incredible deck to watch the sunset, and berry picking. The kitchen was wonderful and had everything we needed to make a special birthday dinner for my dad or anything else! Jo-Ann and Rob were wonderful hosts, fantastic communication. 100/10, would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great place to stay on Vancouver Island

This place is wonderful! Jo-Ann made us feel so welcomed. Her place is beautifully equipped,including welcoming fruits and sweet treats. After a long day of travel,we enjoyed a dip in Hidden Pond followed by a relaxing soak in the hot tub. Our only regret was that we didn’t bring our children and grandchildren with us to enjoy this wonderful spot.

Full of fun nature stay that was relaxing and well thought out

Seriously great stay if you are looking for a place to relax in nature, bring a family or have a pet. The natural pond was an absolute hit for our dog, kids and grown ups! Lots of floating toys, a dock to jump in from, plenty of seating/ lounging options and beautiful landscaping at every turn. We actually gave up many of our out and about plans just to stay and play in the pond. We loved the well stocked fire pit. The hot tub was nice and toasty. The rentals deck was huge and again had many seating options, a dining table and clean BBQ with spare propane. The beds were clean and comfy. All kitchen supplies were there along with plenty of spices and some common condiments - so you don't have to go buy them :) The owners are super nice. They helped us find some great local things to do and made sure our entire stay from pre-arrival to exit was above and beyond expectations. I would definitely go back to Hidden Pond.

What an incredible property and incredible hosts! I would highly recommend staying at the Hidden Pond. We had children, adults and dogs and everyone enjoyed it equally. I would also say it would be worth it to have a day with light plans to be able to enjoy the property.

Such an amazing spot for our first visit to Canada! The pond was a blast! My kiddos loved kayaking/swimming and finding frogs & salamanders. I loved spending time in the balcony and listening to the birds. Our kiddos loved the fire pit and the playhouse in the blueberry garden. Plenty of space for the 4 of us and the bunk beds were a huge hit! Everything was lovely and we can’t wait to come back!
