I love old hotels, their charm, their character, their history. Rendezvous Hotel Melbourne was amazing. They've preserved the internal old staircase and it is like walking back in time. The rooms are all refurbished with very comfy beds. You can walk along the Yarra River and take the tram down to the beach easily. I would stay here again.

Horrible experience with reception staff named Minnie (or something similar) who was unreasonably rude, disrespectful and unhelpful. We made her manager aware of it and hopefully she is gone sooner. Hotel is good otherwise, breakfast options can be better for a longer term stay.

Had a room issue which was addressed immediately, but no admin was corrected. Confusion for the whole stay due to room no's. Rooms comfortable. Bar and bar food very good. Parking off site easily ticketed ect at front desk. Tram spot straight out the front. 7 Eleven ect just on the corner. Good spot. Reasonable rate.
