I had a pleasant stay at the Dorsett. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the hotel was very clean and well-presented. However, the hotel felt a bit small overall. The rooms were on the small side and felt a bit cheap for the 'upper-market' vibe. Similarly, the buffet breakfast and restaurant felt a bit underwhelming. While the pool was a nice feature, it was also quite small, and I had some trouble finding the steam room due to poor signage. The location is good, but it's a bit of a walk to the main public transport options if you want to explore the heart of Melbourne. Overall, it was a solid choice, but there's room for improvement.

We had a lovely 2 night stay. Internet access along with chromecast was great. Room was lovely (twin). Pool was great. Hot tub great but a little dangerous entering and exiting when the jets are on. Could do with a hand rail. Bed in room was hard but I’m used to a softer mattress. Linen was changed after one night - wish I’d taken more notice of the notice given to me at check in regarding opting out of fresh linen as we didn’t need it. Had breakfast both mornings. Plenty to choose from. Coffee was not included in the breakfast price and the auto coffee machine that was available was pretty bad (coffee was cold both mornings). Will definitely stay again.
