Room type: Executive Studio. What was good....Room size was good, bed was comfortable, bathroom was of a reasonable size, fully working kitchenette with hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer. Reception staff on arrival very welcoming. There is a restaurant that serves breakfast lunch and evening meal (not used). Location, within a short walk of Albert Park, and the beach in St Kilda. The tram service into the city stops either side of the hotel. What was poor: the room was very dark, and semi industrial in appearance, open partial concrete ceiling, with insufficient lighting. No usb charging ports. The shower cubicle requies the mould to be removed on the outide corners, whilst there were liquid soap/shampoo/conditioners provided some of the bottles were nearly or completely empty. The room dad a balcony but you were looking directly into an office block, or the back alley or the appartment block across the road, barely saw the sun all day. The safe was tempermental to say the least and when assistance sought took in excess of 20 mins and two visits to reception to sort out, which took the caretaker 20 seconds to fix. Reception staff on leaving didnt bother to ask how our stay was. What could be better....be realistic regarding the views from the rooms. Improve lighting.

Great food, great staff, lovely front patio, convenient location. US and Spanish embassies are within seeing distance. Nice mini apt rooms. Quiet! Balconies are nice but views limited due to this area being a series of high rises with apartments, restaurants etc on floor level. St Kilds Td is a direct shot to downtown/the CBD. 7-11 is one block away, very convenient. Buy public transport cards there. I had a wonderful two week stay!!
