This is a beautiful property and the chef is amazing! When traveling to Europe, I like to feel like I’m staying in Europe, and La Magdeleine has so much character and charm! We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing bastide converted to a shabby chic hotel. Dinner at the restaurant (1 Michelin star) was an amazing experience. If only it is easy to make another reservation without a hotel stay.

Lovely Hotel

Very nice hotel, but could use some renovating. The mattresses were not supportive so sleep was somewhat difficult. Staff was gracious and helpful. If was quite hot, but sadly, the A/C system had not been turned on for the season yet. A quick walk to Gemenos village and restaurants. Nicely situated between Aix and Marseilles.

Magnificent old manor house, with gorgeous gardens

Driving up a long driveway to a dreamlike entrance, we felt we were the lord of the manor. Very low key, we handled our own luggage, which was fine. Our room was old world luxury, grand marble bathroom with wonderful towels and robes. Our king bed was quite comfortable. Huge room and huge bathroom We had dinner out on the terrace, facing modern sculptures on the lawns. Our dinner was Michelin worthy. Breakfast (buffet) was held , also under the trees on another terrace. We elected to have our other lunches and dinners at nearby Cassis and st Sur se mer.

Absolutely Amazing Property

We were stunned as we entered this beautiful property and its sorroundings. Service was top notch and rooms were very clean and comfortable. Having a Neal at the restaurant is a must... Food was incredible. This property is close to baby day trips such as: Avignon, Nimes, The French Alpes, Cassis, La Coitat, Aux En Provence and much more.... We loved everything about it...
