You Spoiled Us!

Absolutely incredible space, location, and property manager support. Our stay was planned as a "once in a lifetime trip" to celebrate a recent retirement but after staying at Hook Down Hideaway my husband and I agreed it has to be an annual event and that no other place measures up. We enjoyed the pool, the outdoor TV, the beautiful home, comfy couch and beds. Everything we needed was already there! The pool, fishing off the dock, kayaking and paddle boarding were daily events. We enjoyed the town, its many restaurants and can't wait to come next year. We have already scheduled time.

Perfect spot for our group of 8!

We stayed here Thanksgiving week and the place was perfect for two families and we cooked our full thanksgiving meal at the house! Loved the pool and hot tub, gorgeous views, and the available kayaks and paddle boards! Cooking was no issues and kitchen had everything we needed. Would absolutely stay again!!

Complete relaxation

The owners did not leave one amenity out. The outside pool area is amazing. We didn’t spend much time inside, the outside was perfect. We had a great breeze off the water and enjoyed a visit from a manatee the 2nd day there. Highly recommended property!!

Paradise in the Keys

We loved our vacation at Hook Down Hideaway. The home was beautifully decorated, clean, and had everything you could need including beach towels for the pool. What our family most enjoyed during our stay was lounging in the pool/hot tub, the scenic views, sunrises and wildlife sightings. We saw lizards, iguanas, pelicans, herons, tarpon and lots of other birds and fish. Already looking forward to our week next summer.

Amazing

This was our 5th spring break to the FL keys. We stay at different places every year. But I think we have finally found the best! It was expensive for just 1 family, but you pay for what you get. It was clean, perfect location, had everything you need. We rented a pontoon boat this year so we could fish and relax at the sand bar, but we always wanted to return to the pool. It was AMAZING!! Lord willing we can return for many more spring breaks in the future.

Great location in Marathon

Our family loved this house and the amenities. The pool and hottub were large enough for our group of 6. The location had beautiful views and the fishing from the dock was great! Lots of fish!

Will be back again!

This property is well taken care of with a gorgeous view of sunrise. Channel is right there, you can see the Sombrero reef lighthouse from the property. We saw sea turtles in the morning. We loved being able to use the kayaks and paddle boards. The pool was large and the hot tub was wonderful. Beds are beyond comfortable with large showers. The kitchen is spacious and we loved how everything was labeled and organize. Functionality of the house was good. I really had only 2 complaints. 1) wish there was a bathroom downstairs (especially for kids) so they aren’t coming upstairs every 2 seconds to use the bathroom lol. 2) I do wish we could of had more supplies for the amount of money we paid to stay there. This is a week rental, that being said, it would of been nice to have more than 1 toilet paper roll per bathroom, and more than 1 paper towel roll. So by the time you buy supplies it can add up! I’m talking tin foil, baggies, dish washer pods, trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels. It was an inconvenience but not enough to not stay at this wonderful place again. We were right on space in the car so we had to buy everything while there. Next time I’ll know. Property manager Brian was accommodating and quick to respond. Thank you for making our Anniversary trip so wonderful. This house is a gem. Can’t wait to come back.

Incredible Property

It was everything that was advertised and more. Very nicely decorated, perfect layout, and incredible views. The pool was huge and put on a light show at night, which the kids loved. We had the best vacation here and did not want to leave. Thank you to the owners for sharing your property with us.

Great House

We had a great time at this house. We loved the view, pool, dock, and everything else that came with it. We saw manatees, bonefish, tarpon, and plenty of tropical fish. We hope to go back soon.

Spectacular!!!

I am a bit of a clean freak and normally feel like I have to clean or sanitize when I arrive at a vacation home...not at all with this place, sparkling clean and an incredible location both on the water and land. We rented a boat and had easy access to several reefs for amazing snorkeling and amazing fishing locations. Super easy and quick access to groceries, drug stores and restaurants, yet at the end of a quiet street. Mornings and late afternoon/evenings unwinding in the pool and/or spa was incredible with spectacular views of ocean, sunrise and sunsets. Also, the app provided convenient and easy access to all of the amenities and requirements. My only suggestion would be to improve upon the lack of paper products and basics like laundry detergent. Though well appointed and a lovely welcome gift, a supply of basic needs would have been much appreciated upon arrival. All in all, an absolutely wonderful stay and highly recommended.

Impeccable home, highly recommend.

We had a group of seven adults and this was our fourth time visiting The Keys. Marathon is a great location and the home was amazing! Anything needed was in the kitchen and labeled, which made things easy when preparing and putting away. Lights and fans were also labeled. Meal prep, drink prep.. it was all there. The home is very clean and comfortable, plenty of space. Location of the home is at the end of a quiet street with incredible views of the Atlantic. Calm waters allowed beautiful views while enjoying coffee , then by the pool by 10:00 am. You can grill for lunch or dinner and eat inside or out, all the while enjoying the scenery. For the first time, we saw a water spout 6 miles out in the Atlantic, maybe a once in a lifetime event. A manatee visited us three times, that we know of, cranes, pelicans, and morning bait fish around 7:00 every morning. All of our vacation was GREAT, and we miss the place already!! Highly recommend this home to all. Oh… the ice machines downstairs.. came in handy. And, pay the extra to heat the spa, def worth it!!

5+ Stars!!

We just had an amazing week at this laid-back yet very luxurious resort home in Marathon. The house is at the end of the street directly on the Atlantic ocean and on the canal with 180 degrees of panoramic views and privacy from nearby family homes. Oh by the way, no condos or commercial properties on the entire street. Bonus! It is a gorgeous property and you can tell it is completely renovated with high end materials. We brought our own boat, dropped it in at the local ramp around the corner and went fishing and snorkeling on the reef that is maybe 5 miles from the house. You can literally see it from the house. The house is completely stocked with everything you could need for cooking, lounging, swimming, bar-b-que’n. Brand new kayaks and paddleboards were delivered on the first day we arrived. Couldn’t believe they were for renters to use, Awesome! The pool is massive and heated with a built in hot tub that we used every day. We loved watching the sunrises with our coffee and sunsets with our wine from the second level wrap-around porch. We had 5 people for the week but the place is very big and would easily sleep the 10 they allow. Bottom line: We loved it so much we have already reserved a week for next year and we WILL fill the house. Thank you. Chris and the Family

Florida Keys Paradise

We had a dream vacation from check-in to check-out and didn't want it to ever end! From the calming decor inside to an enormous pool and beautiful landscaping outside, every detail of this home seems thoughtfully considered. Everything you need for a week of fun - they've thought of it all. The kitchen was completely stocked for family meals, and we also hit a variety of great waterfront restaurants within just a few miles. Sunrise coffee on the balcony to sunset cocktails in the hot tub - and lazy pool days in between! We watched dolphins, manatee and pelicans right out front, and just enjoyed the endless view. Our grandson caught fish from the dock, then prepared our catch at the fish cleaning table while we watched (and relaxed!) from under the tiki!! He dove and snorkeled with a local dive shop (recommended in the electronic guestbook,) and had an amazing day on the reef literally right in front of the house - if only we'd had our own boat! From sunup to sundown, Hook Down Hideaway did not disappoint. We can't wait to return next year!

March Vacation

The 7 of us had a fantastic time getting away from the hustle and bustle. Love how Marathon is a low-key area, with much less hassle than Key West (as well as less of a drive from Miami), and the house itself is no more than 5 minutes from any restaurant or grocery store on the island. The house itself has everything you could need for cooking, as well as kayaks and a pool for getting out to the reef for fishing or relaxing in after a day in the sun. Communication with the host was seamless, and we couldn't have asked for a better stay.
