One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in

Great value for price - even basic rooms come with a kitchenette, sitting area, spacious bathroom. Internet is an extra charge and check-out time is quite early, but the rooms are gorgeous and the location is quite good (across the street from Valmy metro station)

The apartments are very handy for the metro which makes getting around Lyon easy. The safe in the room was not working and the room walls were in need of a freshen up The bedding was clean and the beds were comfortable

Not impressed!

Definitely more like a no frills apartment than a hotel room. No comforts or basic amenities, concrete floors, thin & old linens. It was clean. Forget parking anywhere nearby or being able to unload luggage unless you are extremely lucky. Best to stay here if not driving a car. For the price, I feel there has to be a better option available in Lyon.

No Parking, unhelpful staff

This hotel was our only disappointment in a 12 day trip to France. There is no parking for this hotel, or even a loading zone to drop our bags. During our stay, the wifi was down. The front desk was not very helpful at all. When asked where to park, she told us to find a spot on the street, though she also scared us saying that it wasn't that safe. When trying to find a nice restaurant, she just pointed us to a street that had several restaurants, and none of them looked very good.

Hotel check in only staffed until 3:00pm. After hours check in is very poor. Clerk could not speak French or English and it was difficult to get key to check in. Room was nice, clean and good location. No parking at all and no help from staff on finding parking. You are on your own!

Not my idea of a hotel.

I was only at this hotel for an overnight stay. This hotel is better suited for a weeks stay as it has a couch, small kitchenette with cook top, frig, microwave, sink, etc. The TV had only one English speaking channel, CNN. I needed a wake up call so called reception at 2 pm on Sunday and it was closed and I was told I could not get a wake up call. There was no clock in the rooms and I had to be up at 3 am for a taxi. I did not get a good nights sleep to say the least. I also missed the "free breakfast" and never even saw where it would have been served. The reception area consisted of a desk behind sliding garage like doors that could close. This hotel is more like apartments than a hotel. It is in a noisy party of town. The bar/eating establishment next door had only men inside and out on a Sunday. I would never stay here or recommend it to anyone. I very was very unhappy about this choice.

I would go back!

The perfect place for a couple of days. Thanks to the public transport system, you can get anywhere, and it doesn't cost the earth. The area is safe, a supermarket is next door and Valmy metro station is opposite the entrance. The kitchenette is well-equipped and there is free wi-fi. If I go back to Lyon, I'll definitely stay there again!

It would be much more pleasurable if the double bed was a queen as there is room to fit a queen bed. Our Room was facing the courtyard which is better than facing the road. Good to have the kitchentte as well.

Great place to stay

The rooms at this place are incredibly spacious. We had the 4 person apartment room with living area, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. The stove, microwave, and refrigerator were wonderfully convenient to us as we could cook some of our own meals during the stay. They also had pots, pans, and all the dining essentials. The balcony was very pleasant, with no noise from the street. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

Dont expect any service from the staff here at all. room was adequate and located right next to a metro, but neighborhood was a touch seedy and rooms had obviously been smoked in despite been non smoking rooms, kitchen facilities were handy, but i would stay elsewhere in the future.

Really great place to stay at. Metro station is so close that it is really easy and fast to reach the city center. Great price for the room. Well furnished, the fridge is really convenient. Room was very quiet. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a trip in Lyon

Park & Suites Lyon Vaise - access to Metro!

we started off disappointed that the hotel was a bit further out of town than we'd remembered but it was so close to the Metro it didn't matter. Metro was so clean (better than Paris!) and trains run every 3-5 minutes, even on a Sunday night until midnight. We found a secure carpark about 4 blocks away (E8.50 a day) after the receptionist was unable to advise us on what to do with our car ( she suggested parking on the street but there were towaway signs???) and then used the Metro for the rest of our 4 day stay. Fabulous facilities, great location, awesome city. Recommended

City Suites Lyon Vaise

This spartan accomodation is so cheap they only provide two Kleenexs. Since it is prepaid they do not have a credit card on file consequently you cannot make a outside phone call. And there is no internet connection. We asked that they arrange for a taxi when we checked out but it never showed up: no way of knowing who's fault that is but this has never happened to me in a regular hotel.
