Before I begin, understand that Shana and the other front desk employees were responsive to my concerns, polite and helpful. None of this is their fault, and I am posting this review to encourage their company to fix problems here.
Problems with the room: the room front door has an odd smell. The bathroom sink has a chunk out of it (front desk said corporate knows but hasn't fixed it). There's a dark spot in the shower that makes the shower look unclean. There's no stopper in the sink. There's a line in the bathroom tile where I'm guessing a previous toilet was sealed to the floor. The refrigerator had a sickly smell inside (front desk had it cleaned). Both the office chairs had dirty cushions (front desk replaced them and said corporate was upgrading them to leather ones). The state of the room when I got here was more like a Motel 6, but front desk fixed stuff.
The lights are odd: fluorescent ring type. When I got into the room, one of the lamps had the fluorescent bulb just hanging down, which could be a safety concern due to not wanting to break a fluorescent bulb. The hotel staff fixed the problem, but said the bulbs are hard to replace or something to that effect. I wonder if corporate made a bad investment and/or got scammed by a fluorescent bulb company.
The hotel claimed to have breakfast, but it's just oatmeal and granola bars, so I don't think that's quite "breakfast." But then Tuesday and Wednesday they didn't even put the oatmeal out, either. I feel like the comp
