A grand old lady

The history of this ship is amazing, but the difficulty in maintaining it is obvious. Bathroom was sub par but bedroom was comfortable. The food in the dining rooms was awesome.

The ship will probably sink any day!

The rooms were very basic and lacked amenities like heat, air conditioning, a coffee maker, refrigerator, or microwave. While a restoration fee is charged, the ship still feels like it needs a lot of work. Our room had controls for heat and AC, but unfortunately, they weren’t functional—it seemed like they hadn’t been maintained in a long time. When we mentioned being cold, we were kindly offered blankets instead, which helped a little. Don’t do it!

We loved the unique charm. Lots of the old items are in the room, the porcelain door handles, water spout in the tub, & the wood panels. There are modern touches that make for a comfortable stay, too! There is a tv, an alarm clock, iron and ironing board. We loved it!
