A very nice Marina del Rey hotel. We enjoyed excellent food and service at SALT. Our room, with a harbor view and view of the pool was quite nice; clean, comfortable and quiet.

Marina magic!

I will definitely return to this hotel. You will not beet the top notch service from the valet parking to check-in to food service by the pool! Great longe and happy hour. Beautiful (and busy ) pool area and huge hot tub. Plenty of tables and poolside lounge chairs. The bed was comfy, the room was quiet, other than the sound of guests by the pool. However, with the sliding glass doors shut, even that was quiet. The balcony is large with two chairs and a table. They do have rooms overlooking the other side of the Marina on the restaurant side, that side gets full sun. I chose the poolside, marina view. Lots of space to walk along the Marina and plenty of restaurants nearby. It is a very quick drive to Venice Beach or Santa Monica Pier as well. Whether you want to lounge poolside or get out a bit this is the place to treat yourself. Also, June through August is Sunday Funday by the pool. Tacos and DJ music till 6 pm. It was a really fun atmosphere. The rest of the days were very peaceful. I recommend this hotel as a fantastic vacation experience.

My partner and I spent a fantastic weekend at MDR Hotel to celebrate his birthday, and the experience exceeded our expectations. The staff went out of their way to make our stay special—from the delightful surprise of cheesecake and a handwritten birthday card delivered to our room, to the genuine hospitality we felt throughout. We liked the ability to self park our car in lieu of the valet service so that we can easily travel in and out of the hotel. A special shoutout to Paola from housekeeping, who was assigned to clean our room and helped us recover our forgotten laptop charger after we checked out. Her integrity is truly appreciated, and the front desk made the pickup process quick and easy via email. We were happy we didn’t need to replace it which would’ve costed us. Overall, MDR delivered comfort, service, and thoughtful touches that made our staycation feel like a true getaway. We’ll definitely be back! I recommend to anyone staying to walk to local eateries and stores nearby, it’s a really cool way to do some yacht sightseeing. If you’re lucky, you might see a sea lion or two.

We booked and prepaid a marina view room and were not given a room with marina view. Labeling that room as one with a marina view is egregious. Was more of a garden view and oh look you can see some boats. The a/c in that room was also trash. It did terrible job cooling the room. I kept waking because the room was not cool enough. TV was unusable. We didn't use it throughout our stay because whoever used it last blasted the speakers out and now there's a static sound no matter what. The sound made our skin crawl so we didn't turn it on again after that. The bathroom is way too small. The door opens into the bathroom and is mere inches from the toilet. It also blocks your way into the shower. I would like to end on a positive. The bed was comfortable. They also refunded us the valet charge because valet never touched our car. However, as it turns out, it's $52 a night whether you self park or use valet. We know this now but it's a bit confusing when their website says **valet** parking is $52. Other than that like I said, comfortable bed. The location is great and walking distance to restaurants and coffee shops. Wouldn't stay again but at least the bed was comfortable.
