This spot was perfectly located, an easy car ride away from both the airport and the Oriente train station. We walked to many restaurants and sights in the area, including a very conveniently located Pingo Doce supermarket 5 minutes away. Although the area is very lively both during the day and at night, once we closed the windows, balcony doors, and shutters, almost no street noise got through – perfect for light sleepers.
Our sunny apartment was super spacious, and the separate living/bedroom areas were convenient for going to sleep or waking up at different times. The little kitchen had everything we needed, though we didn’t do any cooking or make full meals. Perfect for light breakfasts, and plenty of coffee pods were provided. The all-in-one washer/dryer was extremely convenient, with a drying rack thoughtfully provided for delicate clothes. (As North Americans used to text on appliances, it was a little tricky to figure out how to use the icon-only machine, but after a quick Google, we were on our way.)
Both the building itself and the elevator felt safe and we never heard any noise from other units.
The only small negative point was that on arrival, we quickly noticed that the shower was not draining properly, with an inch’s worth of water accumulating at the bottom while showering. We let the property manager know right away, but despite giving them permission to send someone to fix the issue anytime, no one ever came. We were never able to use the shower normal.
