Six adults and two toddlers greatly enjoyed their 3-day weekend here. The wooded property was beautiful and there were back and front lawns for the children to play on. The covered porch was the best place to hang out, for all of us, and there was adequate room for us to sit, with tables for drinks, toys, and craft projects.
The kitchen was well-stocked, which we appreciated because we prepared all of our meals. (Therefore, I can't comment on the dining facilities around the lake.)
It's about a 10-minute walk to a park at the edge of the lake, where there are benches for those of us in our 70's. The rest of the family continued on to a nature path.
The only downside to the walk is that there are no sidewalks and some of the cars passing us drove a little too fast for our liking, considering the children, who were not in strollers.
The dining room table seated 6 comfortably, so we were glad that we had brought a card table to extend it. The rest of the house was large enough that we had plenty of room for the kids to play with their toys and the adults to socialize.
The fire pit was a plus.
We would gladly stay here again.
