The secondary requirements of the host (those above and beyond VRBO's requirements) were excessive and demanding (a secondary site to verify my identity and my partner's in multiple ways, requesting the names of our children, putting a credit card on file, etc.) They said this was because we used my partner's credit card for the booking instead of mine. We've never run into this problem from a Vrbo host before, including the other three Vrbo hosts we booked with on this road trip alone. It made us wonder who typically stays in these cabins--why such a worry? The cabin itself was very bare bones, one of a few cabins in a trailer park. It felt safe enough, but given its distance from town and the amount of back-and-forth with the host around "security," we were glad this was a short, one-night stay (we were in and out within 12 hours).
