Le Petit Gîte Creusois is located in the hamlet of Bridiers, very close to La Souterraine. Just a few hundred meters from the gîte, you'll find the Bridiers Tower, a 12th-century keep, the iconic site of the Bridiers Fresco, a live performance held every August, and the launch site for the Bastille Day fireworks display in La Souterraine on July 14th. For fishing enthusiasts, the 5-hectare Cheix pond is an ideal spot. Numerous hiking trails and paths just steps from the gîte offer opportunities to discover the local flora and fauna of the Creuse region. Located on the Way of St. James from Vézelay, the medieval town of La Souterraine will reveal its architectural treasures such as the Saint-Jean Gate dating from the 13th century, or the church built in the 12th century and restored in the 19th. Inside the gîte, you have access to a closed storage room for 2 to 3 bicycles. The kitchen, completely renovated like the rest of the rooms, is equipped with all the latest appliances to delight culinary enthusiasts. Outside, you have approximately 800 m² of space, with parking for two cars, from which you can sometimes enjoy watching our four Ouessant rams (in an adjacent enclosed area), which are sure to enchant children. For those who enjoy leisurely bike rides, we offer our residents electric bike rentals at preferential rates.
