Very close to everything in La Fortuna. Property is new and beautiful. We have Villa 2 with its own pool. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Just far enough remove to be quiet. Do the coffee tour right across the street. Kitchen is well equipped.

Our stay with a group of 4 was excellent. The property is exactly as shown and described in the pictures. Staff were nice, friendly and responsive. Location was nice and just a short drive to La Fortuna centre strip. Would highly recommend.

New hotel in la fortuna with a volcano view

Loved this hotel. Pretty centrally located only a $3 uber ride from the town center. We walked over to the North Fields coffee and chocolate tour which was only a few yards away from the hotel. The team was super responsive through WhatsApp to any issues we had. The rooms are so cute with a hot tub right on the patio. The regular rooms have two viewing areas with one facing the volcano, although the access to them is outside, so not ideal when it’s raining but like whatever it’s the jungle. We ended up getting upgraded to the villa which wow. It has a pool and we had a little frog jump in with us. I would definitely stay here again and bring some friends to really appreciate what the villa has to offer…

This property is amazing. Six individual lofts with two private terraces to enjoy a morning cup of coffee and watch the mist over the vulcano (back terrace) or bask in the rising sun and sounds of the surrounding birds and wildlife. The grounds are perfectly manicured and the foliage creates privacy and a feeling of being in nature. I am squirmsh about bugs and critters, but there were virtually no bugs and I saw mostly beautiful, unique birds while there. It was close to everything. We walked to breakfast and the supermarket. Dinner was a 5-10 minute drive to some truly delicious, world-class food by any standards. La Fortuna is truly is a special place. And Bauma makes the experience unforgettable. One thing that could be improved is the signage of where to enter and exit wasn't clear. Thankfully, we were never exiting or entering at the same time as another car, otherwise one of us would have had to reverse down a very narrow, foliage-covered driveway. It's a tiny thing that can easily be remedied with clearer signage, so it didn't detract from our stay and we are already planning to come back.

This place was amazing! Our Villa literally had everything we needed including a washer/dryer! My kids enjoyed the pool. The virtual concierge was great in booking all our activities from zip- lining and white water rafting. We didn’t need to worry about anything. We used Uber to get into town which wasn’t expensive. If we return to La Fortuna only staying at BAUMA!

This is a great option for staying in the rainforest. The units are brand new, nicely designed and overall fantastic! The immediate location isn’t spectacular but it’s close to the main road and town. I would stay again.

Beautiful place for a couple.

Enjoyed our overnight stay here. Absolutely beautiful design. Convenient location though it could really benefit from a sign near the road. Took us a few attempts to locate the entrance in the dark but once we did they whole property was a lovely surprise of beautiful design. Extremely comfortable bed and pillows! American and Dutch couple! Fairly private as well which was nice.

PROS: - Very cool room, jacuzzi and shower definitely the highlights. - Surprisingly walkable to all restaurants/main road. - Very easy check in/out (key in lockbox outside bungalow). - Easy to text with staff with needs. - Kitchenette really came in handy! Was all prepped with dish soap/sponge, paper towels, pots/pans, cutlery, plates/bowls, etc. CONS: - I let the staff member know that our bathroom sink wasn't draining properly (over text). Even though she responded that they'd handle it, it was never done. - You have to text and ask for new sheets/towels. I think for the price, they should at least be routinely making the bed for you daily and providing fresh towels. - TV didn't work properly in the room - Wish there was a way to lock the room from the inside without needing the key

The property feels brand new. It has the feel of a very nice AirBNB without any of the drawbacks you usually see these days. BAUMA has excellent housekeeping and responsive service for whatever issues arise. The villa was comfortable and spacious. The private pool was large enough for our family of four to enjoy every evening with Arenal peeking just past the greenery privacy walls. The design and utility of the space is perfect. My kids preferred the hotel to most activities we did in the Fortuna/Arenal area.
