The rooms were very clean and well taken care of. The water pressure was weak and the hot water was not very hot. Luckily we enjoyed the thermal pools to warm up in the cool weather. The staff at all encounters were friendly and gave wonderful service. The food at the pool bar and indoor restaurant did not disappoint and was less expensive than restaurants we enjoyed around the area.

Travelled in January with my family of 4 adults. The grounds are expansive and beautifully landscaped and maintained. Check in was smooth and friendly, the desk attendant was very helpful and accommodating, he was able to set up a last minute birthday celebration within minutes of us checking in. The 5 thermal pools were beautiful with at least two of them having a great background view of Arenal volcano for great pictures. The swim up pool bar was very fun, Dilan, our bartender made wonderful drinks. The staff was very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. This is a moderately priced resort. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Dinner was ok but there were many options.Most of the rooms, including ours, looked like wood cabins and were comfortable with a lovely porch and rocking chairs. The room was large enough to accommodate our 4 adults with 4 beds. The room was comfortable and the bathroom can benefit from an upgrade. I called twice because my bedroom had a weird smell. They couldnt fix it, besides that the place was really nice, the food spectacular, and the staff was really friendly.

The individual cabin style rooms are very private and cozy. Almost too cozy! We like to be woken up by the sounds of the jungle and these rooms with heavy curtains are perfect for sleeping in. It was both a blessing and a curse! I do wish they didn’t use BRIGHT WHITE lights. Soft lighting would have been better, and would go much better with their decor. Having a front glassed in and a back open porch was great to enjoy the mornings…. We actually caught a glimpse of a Howler Monkey going by one morning! The birds we saw from our porch were incredible…. Great Curassows, Macaws, Toucans, Hummingbirds, Parakeets, Falcons, and Montezuma Oropendolas to name a few. The breakfast was surprisingly good and the service was very friendly. We enjoyed the omelette station and fresh fruit for sure. One day they had huevos rancheros that were in a great salsa. We had an hour long massage while there and it was great. You can’t beat the price! Be sure to tip in cash so they don’t have to pay any fees on it. My only complaint is the hot springs are not 24 hours, and don’t open until 10AM. They don’t offer any services to speak of other than towel/locker, so I am uncertain why the hours can’t be better. Also there is nowhere to stash your towel and shoes while in the water. Overall we were extremely happy even with that small criticism.

The cottage was small, but cozy. Very well done landscape, well maintained. Fantastic breakfast. Service was good. Hotspring was pretty useless. Only the very top one had real naturally hot water.

Overall, a great property with a great experience for families, but the front desk staff are not trained to handle a large volume of tourists so plan accordingly. I would suggest a minimum of 3 nights for good experience of the resort.
