Perfect country retreat

The property is a well equipped sympathetic barn conversion. The space is well designed and nothing disappointed. The area is extremely calm and quiet, very relaxing. Marie-Paule is a most genial landlady and kindly gave us home made jam, fresh from the property.

Perfect to stay and relax or jump point.

A wonderfully pleasant host who is willing to communicate regardless of first language differences. The garden is very large, green, planted well with flowers and for shade, while also quiet and private. The interior is well planned and equipped. This property is suited for a day of rest away from it all, or a short ride to everything else. Definitely a stay worth your consideration.

Great place to stay for a relaxing break

Local village is a nice walk away, has a Boulangerie, Epicure and a fabulous butcher. There is also a great Portuguese restaurant which is very good value for money and offers a plate du jour or a La carte. We bought most of our supplies locally and would highly recommend the Gite

Wonderful place to stay and great base for Dordogne

This charming farm cottage is the perfect place to stay in Dordogne. It is located in beautiful and quiet countryside within easy driving distance to the places you want to see in Dordogne, including Sarlat, La Roque Gageau, Domme, Beynac, Vergt...It is also just 20 minutes from the large city of Périgueux. The cottage itself is very comfortable, with a full kitchen, great cookware, beautiful dishes, and everything you will need for a short or long stay. My husband and I loved it! The owner and her good friend are great hosts and very attentive. We will miss them! We highly recommend this great place, and can't wait to go back!

lovely property for a quiet relaxing holiday

There were no instructions on how to get to the property from La Douze the google maps reference is incorrect and leads you to the other side of La Bouchardie. If we had not asked a passer by if he knew Marie-Paule we would probably still be looking for the property. There should have been a communication from Home Away prior to our arrival. We feel that Home Away are letting Marie-Paule and her wonderful property down

Sehr erholsam und ruhig , alle Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe

Sehr herzliche Begrüßung, tolle ruhige Ferienwohnung in einer Siedlung im Grünen, gut ausgestattet (Waschmaschine und Geschirrspülmaschine), großer Garten mit Blumen, Linden und schattigem Parkplatz für das Auto. Bäckerei, Tante-Emma-Laden, Frisör und Café im Dorf selbst. Sehenswürdigkeiten im Umkreis (Domme, Beynac, Eyzies, Fluss Dordogne, usw.). Gern wieder. Herzlichen Dank!

Site nul, beug du site sur la réservation, jai du prendre une autre réservation mais le montant à pourtant été prélevé alors que ca affichait "dates non disponibles"!! Marie-Paule est d'une grande gentillesse, disponible pour nous guider vers la maison et la communication a été très facile. Un petit pot de confiture maison nous attendait . Endroit tranquille, bien équipé, bien situé entre "les 3 Périgord" (blanc, violet, noir) . Le gîte est un peu sombre mais la fraîcheur procurée par ses murs épais et les ouvertures limitées en font un endroit très agréable en cas de fortes chaleurs .Les vastes espaces verts autour et les grands arbres complètent bien l' ensemble et forment un tout très agréable et reposant. Propriétaire accueillante, disponible et discrète. Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine, y retounerions sans hésiter !
