We stayed for a business trip so we didn't spend much time in the hotel. Though breakfast was included and we did eat it, there is not much "western" food. But there was plenty. Miso soup was great.

This hotel is a basic "business hotel" type of hotel. There is a bed, small refrigerator, hot pot, and bathroom. Nothing to write home about. However, the location is great. It is walkable to Kumamoto Castle (under renovation), and center city, where there are lots of shops and restaurants. Also, the trolley stop is right in front of the hotel, and a major bus stop is nearby.
